Moreover, it cannot be said that a non-existent thing arises into existence, and this is only because an observable thing is not observed. It has already been shown that from such a situation, it cannot be established here. If it is said that even if there is smoke, it is not seen because it is blessed with power; when it is free from blessing at that time, it can be seen. This statement is very small, because there, fire also has power, and it is seen by the sense that produces changes, not the fire itself. Therefore, how can it become a cause? If it is said that it is not a cause because there is no harm. Then, there is no harm for the invisible things either. If it is said, no, because inference does not depend on harm. Then, the object of inference is independent. This is because doubt arises about the invisible thing itself, so direct cognition is abandoned. Distinguishing through this statement is because for the invisible thing, this is not recognized. This fault is not present in the invisible thing itself, but in the things themselves. If it is said that if a harmless inference is not made about it, then it cannot be recognized now either, but it exists in the things themselves. If it is said that if a harmless inference is made about it, then it should also be recognized here, or direct cognition should be abandoned, detailed explanation is enough. Therefore, by recognizing the non-existent thing, if one's own essence is observed, then it is nothing other than its result. If it is said that if there is no fire, there is no arising, and if there is fire, there is existence, is this not the domain of multiple pramanas? Therefore, why is it not the domain of pramana in the case of observing fire? Just as the self-nature grasped by later observation is not established, in the case of observation, also because of arising to non-existence, the previously existing dharma is not established. Therefore, two gradually changing things are not the domain of one pramana, so how is it possible that a non-existent thing, if another exists, then there is existence? If it is said that if pramana itself is only ultimate at the time of existence, then this will become like that, even if there is only a moment of existence, as long as the measurer is established as the knower, as clear as it is experienced now, then it is one pramana.

It has been extensively explained. It changes like that in one's own place, but in other places, there are only other valid cognitions. Therefore, if someone says that recognizing that smoke does not arise without fire means that if there is fire, there must be smoke, that is not the case. That is true, merely having a valid cognition is not necessarily the ultimate, but nevertheless, corresponding to it is the special thing of the knower. Because that could also be produced by other valid cognitions, by knowing the self-nature of the object of knowledge through two valid cognitions, one can recognize the things of cause and effect. Similarly, this can also be applied to consciousness, because that can also similarly recognize the cause and effect of other consciousnesses. If the valid cognition is mistaken, then what is this thing called that which knows its object? If it is said to be the subsequent action, then, if the experience arising from seeing things as they are is established, but the action is not established as having experience as it is, then, in this case, it cannot be established as a thing that knows such a self-nature, because previously there was another thing here, but there was no smoke, so it cannot be determined that there must be fire if there is smoke. While seeing the smoke, it is impossible that it appears that one has not experienced it before. Therefore, how can it become like this, from not having this before, to now having this because of proximity? This also eliminates the memory becoming the result of experience. If the experience has passed, but recognizing the self-nature of the experience as being in accordance with reason as it is, then, if the memory consciousness becomes its result, then it is said to be not established. Saying: Is this completely unreasonable? Or is it only unreasonable here? If it is said to be unreasonable here, then why? Because actions are momentary, and the cognition of memory is also not an object of things, therefore, through it, actions cannot be well established. To this, if there is clearly experience, but it is said that it is not memory or action, then even a constant speaker would not admit it, therefore, the observation of experience itself is not a limb. If it is reversed, then even if the measurer is constant, the object is hidden, so it is also the self-nature of meaning.
