造《释量论》者则说,通过“由自境之无间,境与和合作用者,由根识之无间缘所生(rang gi yul gyi de ma thag pa'i yul lhan cig byed pa can dbang po'i shes pa'i de ma thag pa'i rkyen gyis bskyed pa)”显示了是意的特殊性。

Sa means 'earth.' For the non-obscured self-nature, it is not conceptual, because it is not known by others. This shows that 'Because birth exists at that time itself,' meaning that non-obscurity itself is birth. If the meaning is grasped, it means that if there is a grasping with the aspect of meaning for this. There also, it refers to imputation as well. Because there is grasping and imputation, it refers to seeing and imputation. If they become one, it means if what appears as observable and examinable becomes one. Those, refers to those of grasping and imputation. Just as the non-conceptual one enters into what is not grasped, similarly, because it also wants to appear as conceptual, it also becomes non-conceptual, this shows that 'Oh, then now all knowledge.' Showing that the knowledge that does not manifest enters is conceptual is 'not manifesting.' Showing that the non-conceptual direct perception different from this is 'For what appears as wanting.' Showing the difference in self-nature between conceptual and the other is, the difference in direct perception is shown as 'From the power of habit.' The non-conceptual nature of 'For what appears as wanting,' showing that happiness and so on exist in awareness is 'In the nature of happiness and so on.' 'In that, by action and agent' means that it is not the object to be taken by awareness. 'By agent' means that it is not the expresser of the self-nature of awareness. Therefore, for manifesting meaning or happiness and so on, awareness does not depend on the senses, but arises only from mind, therefore the teachers say that this is the direct perception of mind. The author of the Commentary on Valid Cognition says that by 'By the immediate of its own object, the object and the one who acts together, born from the immediate condition of the sense consciousness,' it shows the particularity of mind. And, for the thought that happiness and so on are impossible in awareness, it shows that there are several ways: 'In this, mind manifest.'
