It also exists, called "Having Also." Just as external practices require valid cognition, the thought of "I am also" is mistaken, which indicates reliance on self, called "Reliance on Self." Valid cognition, even without self, is not mistaken, which indicates not relying on self, called "Not Relying on Self." The attainment of knowledge is valid cognition itself, and even without self, it is like fruits, etc., recognized through discrimination arising from the function of following and reversing, which indicates it is recognition itself, called "Seeing." The phrase "Even if there is self" is an explanation of "merely." "Any" refers to knowledge. "If so, even if there is self, what is valid cognition?" The answer is: "Direct perception and inference, merely." The word "merely" is spoken. If so, is it thought that only through these can one recognize the impermanence of self or external objects? To answer this question, "before and after" is spoken. Therefore, to show that only these are true, "not experienced by knowledge" is spoken. If fruits, etc., are established, then inferring the meaning of the cause is seeing the fruit; if not established, it is not, which indicates "inference is also." For things, if direct perception cannot recognize what has become a fruit or a cause, then because there is no grasping of what does not appear, inference cannot proceed, which is related. "Only through inference, non-appearance is reason" indicates that there is no exhaustion, called "Prior Manifestation." Showing that it is not only fruits, etc., nor the object of grasping, "Fruits, etc., to be measured, set aside for a moment" is spoken. Even so, it also shows that this is not meaningless, without ability, called "Without Basis," etc. If it is thought that when the consciousness of "This is blue" contemplates the blue outside, how can there be no object? The answer is: "If knowledge changes with the object." This is spoken. Discrimination is what distinguishes between the object of grasping and the grasper itself, because it cannot recognize that it is not its own nature, which indicates "In this action, it is the cause itself." If it is also in the discrimination that infers after seeing

Regarding the causes of blue concepts and seeing them, only having the cause will follow. Because there is no difference in seeing, that is its meaning. If there is no harm, by reason of appearing separately, it has an object, then for the consciousness of a person with blurred vision, there is no harm in appearing there, so it will become like that. If it is said that even if there is no meaning, it will arise, so it will not become like that, then, it is shown that only by the meaning itself as the cause, it has an object, which is called "merely appearing." If it is said that merely by the appearance of the cause itself, which is uncertain, cannot be established, then, what is what, that is what is called. In order to show that one does not cling to the meaning itself as the cause, therefore, the fruit and the cause itself of other schools are narrated, which is called "this." If it is said that blue clearly appears as the object itself, but it is said that it is not aimed at by the cause itself, then, thinking, by what cause will it lead to the consciousness of a person with blurred vision? This is called "not aimed at by the cause itself," that is, not merely by the cause itself. Just like the cause itself, the object itself cannot be established either. Therefore, in order to show that it is only too excessive, this is called "except for blue, etc." Thinking that it has an object by the difference of the function of meaning and the separate appearance of the other party, and it is the difference of the other party itself, This is called "confusion itself." The consciousness that can realize the meaning, realizes by its own nature, which is called "experiencing meaning." That which appears separately, whether it is the experienced or the experiencer, that is experiencing it, which means that it is a consciousness different from its grasping subject. In order to show that that itself or consciousness is the third examination, this is called "or that also experiences," or what is the nature of the meaning of "other," this is to clarify the boundary below, the function of meaning, that is, realizing meaning is different, or it will also become the nature of meaning or its consciousness is another nature, that is its meaning. Confused by the reason that causes will inevitably have results.
