It is pointed out as meaning "by this." Cognition itself is not valid cognition, because it also exists in the immeasurable. The difference of cognition is pointed out as being related to things, that is, "merely related to things." "From the collection of causes," etc., the collection of causes is also pointed out as being the cognition of the result, that is, "because the collection exists." "From the two objects of measurement" refers to its knowledge, and here knowledge is also merely grasping, that is, from the perspective of the knower, one recognizes one's own reason through the distinction shown by reasoning. Therefore, pointing out that this is the reason for the result is "if it is also certain." Pointing out that having an object of measurement pervades validity itself is "from the two objects of measurement." "I" is valid cognition, and because it is permanent, even if there is no object of measurement, it exists, how can it pervade? If someone thinks like this and says, "I exist," then "I" itself is not valid cognition, but it is its transformation. Moreover, if there is an object of measurement, it exists, and if there is no object of measurement, it does not exist, this is pointed out as "it also." "One" refers to the self-character. "Other" refers to the common character. Is it not the case that all that is being cognized is only through its own nature, and not through the nature of the other? Therefore, how can one say "the other from that"? If someone thinks like this, then, recognizing the nature of the other itself is established, that is, what can function is due to the appearance of the self-nature, and if the other nature does not have the appearance of the self-nature, then all that appears, through the conventional correct cognition, the other nature that is being cognized will appear, that is its meaning. Those who cognize in that way, are the self-character and the other, the previous teachers said so, that is its meaning. Pointing out to the intermediate debater is the intermediate verse. The result, the cause, and its ability, although they are only cognized through valid cognition, but like illusion, etc., they do not exist, that is its meaning. The thought of the former party is that if there is no harm, it is not reasonable, so the one with valid cognition
