It is common to non-things, but not to the sole thing, what is shown is "then it is only appearance." Negating "not," for the reason of memory and doubt, saying "it is the general direct perception," showing that the difference for direct perception is unreasonable, is "because it is the general direct perception." That is also because it is the nature of difference. If according to your view, there is no doubt about seeing, then, there is no doubt about not seeing either, how is this not a fault? In order to show that some cognitions arising from habit arise without an object, without doubt, is "because of that reason." It means for some that have not been seen. If inference holds things like direct perception, then even if it is cognizing as another nature, it will not change, if it changes, it is because the previous continuum of cognition is interrupted, and it shows that another continuum also arises from intention, is "if there with things and contact." "Because there is no that reason" is because there is no change. Even without conceptual thought, it will not become separated from holding its own nature on the cause. No, because there is no cause. It means how does the continuum of inference also return? It will become determination, not direct perception. If it is thought that without that cause, it will not arise, merely determining as a continuum, it is not the function of a sign, is "then in another." When inference sees the own nature of things, in order to show that it is merely determined as without it will not arise, is "if seeing that," is seeing things. "By showing" is by inference. From the nature similar to that, for the inference of the nature holding the image of direct perception, seeing, is not holding its own nature. "Seeing" is by direct perception, that is an example. In order to show that not seeing its own nature is change, is "touchable non-touchable." "It is said" is because it contradicts direct perception in appearance, therefore merely not seeing, this is what is shown. Saying "it is unreasonable to conceptualize" is to hesitate. "With another image" is the momentary one.

It is in regard to the difference of unfamiliarity or distance. The so-called "measurable" refers to what is not determined by direct perception, and also to the part of the difference that can be determined by inference, either seen from a long distance, or because it is not seen, for some situations, it can only be inference, because the lower part and the middle part are the same, they are one thing. The way it appears, for inference, is also deceiving, thinking that it is not unmoved, this is called "appearance." The distinction that depends on the external environment is distinguished by direct perception and inference, it is direct perception and its appearance, but not dependent on self-awareness, this is shown as an answer, called "different." The so-called "some" refers to what arises from haze and so on. The so-called "inference itself" refers to being connected with "appearing like direct perception." Even if appearing as the nature of a present thing is inference, but only by this point, like arising from haze, it is not a valid cognition, because it is not related to the thing that will arise, this is what is to be shown, called "or." The so-called "that is another person" refers to the direct perception itself that will arise, because the present exists in things arising from haze. The so-called "because it is inference itself" refers to, although it is the same as the initial inference, it does not grasp things as they are, but because it will not arise without things, it is grasping things. Showing that for the object of things, all that appears as things are called inferences, this is called "all inferences." For existing things, in the realm of non-existence, the characteristics of reality and imputation are not confused, and it is not the object of another's knowledge, if you think about how to know this, the answer is from worldly fame. It is said: Just as things have no power. This is for extreme display. The so-called "because it is said to be non-existent, is it non-existent?" refers to the Vaisheshika school and so on. The Vaisheshika school and so on are not things, because they are not valid cognition, for powerless things, the Samkhya school's Purusha sound, for those with the power of many fruits is also called Prakriti. That is also called Prakriti, that is also called fruit.
