It is called "Thatness." "Thatness" means pervasiveness, and it is connected to not understanding impermanence. "Of Thatness" means possessing pervasiveness. "Is there?" means by the very nature of being an object of focus. "As its very self" means that it would be illogical for the differentiator to not be that very thing. "By non-existence" means by non-perception. "By this" means the very nature of being separated from the Dharma, which was previously the object of focus. If one clings to the subject of Dharma but does not cling to the Dharma, then showing other faults is called "If it is not established." Showing the merit of perceiving impermanence with direct perception is called "When." Furthermore, it is said that since one perceives Dharma and the subject of Dharma with direct perception, one perceives everything, so inference is meaningless. It is called "However." If it is said that because this has Dharma, if one does not cling to the subject of Dharma, it will not change. It is called "Dharma is by direct perception." If it is said that even if one clings together with a few, it is not with other Dharmas. It is called "If it is a mistaken Dharma." Even if separated from mustard seeds, etc., it is seen as the nature of the shape preceding, but it is a thing separated from the possessor of pervasiveness and one-or-other. Showing that it is not grasped is called "Person and mustard seed." Just as one grasps the pervasive object as other, so too will one grasp the pervasive time as other, it is called "If it is long." "By inference" means that one moving means the other moving, it is not reasonable as other. Like the two objects of a magic wheel, showing that one moving means the other moving, although they are different, it is reasonable in any way, so it is not unreasonable. It is called "That is also inference." Showing that the oneness of the seen is contradictory to direct perception is called "That is." Showing that not grasping the difference of the object of the sign of the previous time, by that difference, the present one is not grasped by direct perception, is called "It is not, thatness." If one grasps the difference of the object of the sign of the present, then by that difference, if one grasps by that difference, then showing that if one grasps, then one only grasps impermanence, is called "Therefore, impermanence is." What is joined by mere conceptualization is neither the establisher nor the one-or-other, but a relationship.

To explain "because it is not," it is the phrase "from the very existence of connection." The phrase "from one" refers to anything that is not a cow, etc. "Many" refers to variegated colors, etc. To explain that from the opposite of difference, it is also manifest that the conceptualization arising from the habit of conceptualization clings to oneness, it is the phrase "of all things." To explain that the manifestation arising from the power that acts together with that habit is also recognized as such, it is the phrase "if of the power." Arising from the power means having an object that exists like the power, and arising from habit means having conceptualization because there is no object, to explain this, it is the phrase "before and after." "Without following" means because each clear thing is definitely experienced. Although holding many clear things, it does not hold the following, to explain that just as holding one clear thing, there is no following, it is "by what action, that is, together with seeing other meanings, neither seeing otherness in oneness, and having the following disappear" seems to be accustomed to the cause. To explain this, it is the phrase "walls, etc." If someone says, how can the manifestation that occurs when the previous manifestation disappears be the object of its pervasiveness, recognized later in the time of the clear things? No, it is the phrase "there is manifestation." "Previously" refers to the direction of the object seen previously. To refute the argument "because there is no pervasiveness," it is the phrase "its nature." Because its otherness is not recognized, for what is not established by direct perception, it is merely the statement "separate from direct perception," to explain that merely because it is not established by direct perception, it is neither different nor non-different, it is the phrase "mutually." The phrase "other than different." "At that time" refers to when it is different. "By it alone" refers to by what alone it is different. "It also" means that it does not abide in non-difference, but also goes to difference. To explain that because of difference and non-difference, it is a contradictory inference without distinction, it is the phrase "seen not seen." From the conceptualization of approaching the distinction that is not the opposite, it is not a distinction of dharma, etc.
