These are called the nature of the absence of concomitance of reasons and examples, and the incompleteness of what is to be proven. 'Reason, etc.' means 'unestablishedness,' and so on. Showing that being only in a part is common is called 'perception,' and so on. However, for example, what is suitable for proof is shown to be the quality of the subject. The fault of the reason is called 'because it is not a faulty subject.' By others, it is by 'being made,' and so on. 'Its' refers to the subject. Isn't establishing what is established by perception a fault of the subject? What is shown is called 'the fault of establishing what is established.' There is no concomitance on what is established by scripture because it is not established, and what is established by perception is uncommon, which is called 'what is established by scripture.' 'That nature' means 'by difference.' 'That' means 'general.' Connect 'inference is not on what is clear, what is the object of perception, and on what that perception exists.' 'There' means 'because the nature of non-difference is established by perception itself, and because the nature of difference is not established.' Because there is no distinction in difference, although inference is an object of generality, it is shown that the object of difference is implicit, which is called 'one's own characteristic.' If so, how is the determination of the object when one's own perception is the object of one's own characteristic, and so on? When asked, it is called 'by inference.' 'Realization' is called 'the absence of difference in objects,' and so on. Whatever is the object of valid cognition is the object of whatever that is. The door of that is the door of the object. Showing that it is not contradictory to the object is called 'because it is not contradictory to that.' The other is the refuter. How is it that being related only to that is a fault of the subject and not others? When thinking that they are not to be abandoned and are also not not to be abandoned, it is called 'cause,' etc., which means that others are eliminated by the characteristics of reason, etc. Faults are eliminated by the characteristics of reason, etc.

It is for the purpose of applying reasoning to the subject (पक्ष, pakṣa, aspect, subject). If it is said, why exclude only these connections, then it is non-pervasion, meaning that if it is not abandoned, the subject cannot be obtained. If one argues with a subject that is not established even by the characteristics of reasoning, etc., then abandoning the non-follower, stating oneself for that purpose is non-pervasion, and for those that are too pervasive, there is no need, which means obtaining meaninglessness. If this is said, then the answer is: it is not like that. The characteristic is of the subject, because it is abandoned by others, that is its meaning. Just these are the very separation from one's own words. Because others have spoken of themselves. In this way, excluding the overly pervasive is to express the desire to be a treatise by the word "self," and to definitely think that the unestablished is said to be the establisher; to explain that which has been established as a subject by "one's own nature," and to eliminate the fault shown by the words that have not been eliminated by the measure. In order to show that there is no understanding by stating the intention to eliminate non-pervasion, it is the word "self." Rejection is too pervasive. What is the need for others, is because of distinguishing reasoning, etc., so distinguishing. In order to remember the fault shown for not distinguishing, it is "if oneself." For those who value elaboration with words, after showing the characteristics, for those who like brevity, it is shown: promising to establish, that is, what is to be established is not what is to be established, it is not like that. Because the measure is already pervasive and not its nature, for the subject that has been established as non-follower by the difference itself, and saying it is the establisher, and wanting to be a treatise, and even though the promiser has not promised, but for what has been abandoned, because there is no promise. Because of directly distinguishing, if that is unreasonable, then why not strive to fully understand it, this is the victor's. For promising to establish, using the term "to be established itself" for association is fruitless, because the showing of what is to be established, for this, the others are direct associations.
