It is called "time." The very pervasiveness of what is permissible to appear, being shown to be clear by manifestation, is called "by manifestation." Showing that not all that is permissible to appear is pervasive is called "it is not, but for the form." "How then" means that it is the proof of what is truly real. "By others" means: By what means does it appear, By acting it is called "form of consciousness." Form is shape, that which is permissible to appear. "Or" means to understand through the fundamental aspect. "Opposite" means that because it focuses on one ultimate goal, it does not have universality, and refuting this statement is both "too much" and "opposite." "Others" refers to the commentators. "Because of separation" means that there is no pervader of various things. Even if it is not established as a universal law, showing that the opposite is not its law is called "negation without." If there is nothing to be pervaded, just as there is no tree, then it should be proven on a definite object, otherwise it will become the determiner, which is called "if universal." What is to be proven is definite. "Reason" refers to things or non-things. "By others" refers to the Vaisheshika school. "Becoming what is desired" means proving what has already been established. "What is promised by others" refers to the Tathagata. "Even by him" refers to the Vaisheshika school. The statement "contradicts the promise of the Tathagata" is called "other-elimination." If there is no subject of dharma, then merely the object of remembrance of the pervader is the cognizer of merely the absence of what is to be pervaded, and if pervasion is established, then showing that it is fundamental is called "it is not so, if there is a connection." Because merely knowing non-existence is not a proof, and existence is not established from it, therefore, mentioning the meaning is for the purpose of refuting non-proof. Being overly attached to the past, producing results, is not very relevant because it does not exist. Showing non-provers is called "sounds, etc." If it is merely mentioning the meaning, then because one wants to manifest the meaning, therefore through scripture.

What is to be understood will also become the meaning itself. What is not a sign itself is because non-existence itself has no power. Meaning is powerful because it exists, which is called "from meaning." Showing that the powerful is not from non-existence is called "meaning is." What arises from sound is also not the meaning itself, because the sound is stated from the statement of meaning. Because it is established by neither, it prevents what is not meaning. Or, by the words of self-seeing, it is only understood that neither is, thus eliminating establishment. From what? Because it is the meaning itself. Why is what is seen by oneself without meaning not a sign? Because it has no power, which is called "from meaning." If there is a meaning that can be understood, it is shown to be the meaning to be understood, which is called "because meaning is established," that is, the victorious one. From there, it is meaningful from the statement of meaning. Because the third mode of certainty is called the sign itself, it is shown that there is no certainty in its essence, because it is uncertain, so it is the elimination itself, which is called "in the ultimate sense," here is accusation. Are sound and discrimination also not power itself because they have its form? To those who say so, it is called "discrimination." Discrimination and sound are also not interpreters of the meaning to be understood, because they arise from desire. For the same reason, its object itself, which is fabricated by it, is also not self-nature, because it is uncertain. What arises from the view to be proven is certain because it is so. What arises from the means of proof is also what makes the means of proof close, that is its power. Showing that what arises from what is to be proven, or is not the object of its own nature, is called "from things." What is called investigation refers to those made by sound and discrimination that have not satisfied desire, all of which are uncertain. Habit is the habit of discrimination. What is called "by this itself" is because it holds meaning. What is called "directly" refers to the teacher. Things are to be proven, that is, their establishment. Because what is to be proven itself is suitable for the means of proof, it is not everything, but only returns from the certain meaning.
