Etc. are also indicators of causes. If one does not know that the dharma itself or something else follows, then it is not a true sign, that is its meaning. An example is the place that follows. The word "also" here means that one wants to manifestly infer, similar to inference itself but not exactly. Other characteristics do not exist, because one cannot see one's own nature, that is its meaning. In the example, the proof of pervasion is that if one does not understand that it will not arise without it, even if it is not understood through meaning, even if one understands, it is still an inference, because it follows what was seen before. So-called understanding refers to non-perception. In any case, it refers to coming from knowledge or from non-knowledge. Although the meaning has been realized, it is shown that the realization of mind is not inference, that is, if it is not realized. What was said earlier refers to uncertainty, non-realization, and not following, etc. If the mind is not perception itself, just as the meaning of the external object is not realized, because the minds of others are also not realized, in order to show that all speech will be realized, after seeing speech and actions, etc., the inference will not change for you, this is the connection. The result of actions, etc. related to the mind, because it is not perception, cannot be realized, because seeing the pervasion of what one sees oneself, it is said that it can also make others understand, this is "how one sees oneself." If the valid cognition that holds the relationship between the example and what is to be proven is other, it will be endless, because that knowledge is the knowledge to be measured. Even if it is related to oneself, starting from that, one first sees the meaning, and then from that, one understands and sees, etc., it is also endless. Therefore, because it is endless, understanding the object is the nature of understanding oneself. The so-called mere object is what others have admitted. Because the wisdom of the mind has realized the meaning of the sign itself, it will not become an inference, this refers to the state. The so-called meaning itself refers to one's own characteristics. The so-called types, etc., refer to the nature of types, etc. The answer has been given.

That which is called 'knowing' is not the nature of clarity, because it is not grasped by that which grasps it. The reason why internal differences such as variegation are not apprehended is because of distance, etc. In the case of yellowing of the eyes, etc., the appearance of yellow, etc., is not due to the object itself. If it were knowledge, then this unclear state would cause confusion about things like wood, and conceptualization also follows what is seen. Otherwise, conceptualization arises from habituation and does not rely on external objects. The explanation of this is, 'Because it is valid cognition.' To show that if it is not different from appearance but is the nature of knowledge, then it is reality itself, it is said, 'What is this?' 'By valid cognition' is because it is not reasonable to cognize as true that which is not to be cognized. 'Self-awareness' is like happiness. 'By another' is because it is common. 'In ignorance itself, conceptualization is the object of seeing, not the external object,' to show that it is not a common object, it is said, 'It is not, because of memory.' If one thinks that the knowledge of 'this is the former' is not knowledge of an external object, then the answer is, 'Because it does not have the nature of the former.' To show that having an object that is not external, cognition that relies on the external is not true, the term 'measurable' is used to indicate the object. 'The meaning of cognition' means that this cognition is the cognition of the meaning of knowledge, not the cognition of mind, therefore it is said, 'Your mind.' It means that without experience, one cannot cognize validly. To show that even without experience, it is one's own knowledge, it is said, 'Non-clear self.' If someone says, 'If it is self-awareness, how can it be knowledge of an external object?' then one asks, 'What is the object?' For clarity, it is self-awareness. Essence is the nature of the object's own nature. The reason for change is because it generates similarity, not because it is clear itself, because there is no connection. Even if there is a connection, it will acquire its nature, just like the object, the nature of the essence will also change. That clarity is also endless because it changes from something other than it.
