Therefore, it is completely cut off as being existent. Showing that the nature of the general is not negated is "If so": If sound and so on are objects of knowledge through the general way, how is it the nature of the distinct appearance? Because blue and so on appear as clear, the thought that it is neither non-existent nor general is "If so, then." The answer is "The nature of appearance." Now, what is the general object of the non-existent? "The consciousness of hair, etc.," etc., in this, "hair, etc." refers to the meaning of immediately obtaining "non-existence," because they are also such a state of reality. Because the consciousness with "non-existence" as the general object is contradictory. Isn't it non-appearing? It is not for other appearances, showing that what is appearing is the meaning to be said, that is, "hair appearance," meaning that the recognition of the appearance of the nature of the meaningless hair illusion to the external object does not admit that it is the object of the external object, but is a harmful object. With its own nature, the appearance of the hair illusion, showing that it is not negated by its own nature, that is, "If there is a cataract." It means that it is like hair illusion and so on. Showing non-existence with existence and non-existence, that is, "Hair, etc. are not true." Showing existence, that is, "Also similar to the reasonable cause." If it is said that it appears as existent, then what is non-existence? That is, "Then meaningless." The consciousness of the senses is a synonym for the external object. It is also said, "In meaning, it is the root consciousness." Relative to the external object, it does not appear, and the other itself, showing that it is not self-awareness, that is, "Therefore, it is not clear." It is not because the nature of appearance is the consciousness of the senses, but because it is the nature of the object of meaning, showing non-deception and deception, etc., that is, "Therefore, the senses are." Incapable or the object of sound is the general nature, for this there is too much pervasion.

Isn't it because it is considered meaningful for the sake of clarity that no distinction is made? Because the nature of consciousness, with respect to the realm of sound, is like hair, without distinction between meaningful and meaningless. If it is said that the nature of consciousness is consciousness, then it is contradictory. The so-called "contradictory" means that it is both capable and not capable, which are two situations. The so-called "how to think" means that the nature of clear consciousness is the object of self-awareness, while the general characteristic is not like that. Because the similarity of things is similarity itself, because it is only at the ultimate point of things that one can realize, so it is not so clear. Therefore, why not consider the nature of consciousness itself, like external objects, as the meaning of reality? This is because it is clear. The so-called "thing" refers to the consciousness of the general characteristic. The so-called "in that" refers to the consciousness of the general characteristic. If it is thought that consciousness, with its own nature of consciousness, clings to the meaning itself, then what is the general characteristic? Therefore, it is said "in everything," even the consciousness of the sound of wood, sharpness is clarity, that is, very sharp, as well as inferior, very inferior, strong, very strong, among which the initial sandalwood, that is, pine, etc., are similar there, uniting the nature of consciousness there, is realization, thus connecting. In order to show that the general characteristic of the Dharma, which is acknowledged by others, also exists in it, it is said "so similar." The so-called "in conventional truth" refers to valid cognition. The so-called "from that" refers to from the object. If it arises from the object, there will be no realization, therefore thinking of "habit." In this way, uniting the appearance of the nature of establishment and the objects to be examined, through the general characteristic, the nature of returning from the general characteristic, that is, through showing on the returning. Steadfastness is two natures, that is, arising there, and the consciousness that enters there, in order to show that, it is said "from its continuum." The so-called "is the enterer" refers to being connected with clinging there. The so-called "related to returning" is two natures, because the appearance arising from returning is clinging to returning itself, therefore the nature of returning is, if the nature of consciousness arises from clarity, then is it clinging to the nature of clarity, or
