Now, even if there is no external object and another, etc., it is so. Therefore, for those minds that are empty of meaning, the non-existence of things itself is not a valid cognition, and merit and demerit, etc., and all their results, etc., are revealed, because for such a nature, there is no experience as self-awareness and as another, because it does not appear due to attachment to external objects, and there is no difference from the action of merely appearing thought, that is the meaning of what is said. Moreover, what is said by "self" is because not recognizing the self-nature, there is no difference from others. Therefore, from self-awareness, this is the meaning of what is called "that itself." Explaining it is "if" etc. For those who do not realize that it will not become non-existent because others know it, "other" is said. "By other" means by others. If it is said that it is also known by others, then "by others" is said. What is said by "common" is the same, by the nature of the same. It is revealed that its object is not inference, but is seen as having the same object, like hair standing on end. The object is the body. What is said by "in one self" is on the thing established by inference. What is said by "from those two" is from the difference of the object itself. "Why not" should be combined with "difference." From different results, what can be held is different, and in order to show what is held by it, "hair standing on end, etc." is said. If from hair standing on end, etc., there is no difference, and what is held is not different, then what can be held will not become different, in order to show this, "if hair standing on end, etc. also" is said, just like happiness, etc., or hair standing on end, etc. is also not a difference as a sign, that is the meaning of what is said. Even if it belongs to the category of self-awareness, hair standing on end, etc. is because it exists even without one's own happiness, just like recognizing the difference of others' happiness, if it is said that it is also recognizing the difference of others' knowable objects, then "if mine" is said. Both are knowable at the same time, and for different times it is different, if it is said that even if one is not knowing, it is knowing, then "if there also" is said. Just as time is not different, for difference, the sign is also not different.

Showing that the non-difference of "that" is not obscured by different times is called "essential non-difference." Saying that signs and times, etc., with non-difference and difference, etc., are the masters of both as one, there is also no difference there, called "there is also no difference there." Showing that even if the nature of one is the nature of non-different time, it is also direct perception, because that exists, is called "that is hidden," meaning that both will also be cognized at that time. Showing that if the sign is not different, it was also not different before, which contradicts direct perception, is called "cognition." What is called "is hidden" has already been said. What is called "if" and what is called "cognition" are mutual. If both appear simultaneously, is the object of direct perception one, not mutually exclusive? Saying "if like common," it means that after understanding, it is certain, like blue, it is not doubt. Other valid cognitions are language, etc. One's own appearance is the listener's. The common understanding of the listener's language, etc., will also become the speaker's, and similarly, from the language that precedes the listener's knowledge, to the language that precedes the speaker's knowledge, it is also said that from that above is also this, called "with that also," meaning that the speaker also. Showing that they are mutually dependent is called "with direct perception." Showing that for determination by direct perception, language is also not needed, is called "with direct perception." Showing that for what is not understood by direct perception, it is language, because the valid cognition of this is determined by language, and it is not determined in other ways, thinking like this, there is also "direct perception." For other debaters, the collection of after and after and after everything is not. Showing that one by one is not a valid cognition, and the collection is also not a valid cognition, is called "two with cataracts." What is called "because it is the nature of knowledge," just as blue, etc., which are not objects of cognition, are cognizers, whatever aspect is which, that is wisdom, and also apart from manifesting with that, the nature of wisdom is separate from the object of cognition. Just like that, how is manifestation?
