If someone says that inference with the nature of disease contradicts the disease, therefore it is not a valid means of knowledge. Then, if it is said that the previously existing disease contradicts direct perception, that is also not established. Therefore, inference is not merely contradictory to direct perception, that is its meaning. How is it that for you, the object to be proven and the means of proof are not mutually dependent? Because it is direct perception, and it is not the object to be proven by others. The explanation for this is, this has already been said. By explaining that the future will be experience itself, it is shown that it itself is a valid means of knowledge, and not proven by a valid means of knowledge, that is, "it is also without beginning." If someone asks, how can what is passed down by the blind be a valid means of knowledge? By explaining that it comes from the non-deceptive, that is, "it also comes from the non-deceptive." That is to say, the valid means of knowledge that encounters particularly cherished things, when naming the same object of particularly cherished and encountered things, is the meaning of knowledge. The so-called "on the object of one's own essence" refers to unclear things. The so-called "for it" refers to the self-essence of knowledge. The so-called "its" refers to inference. The so-called "direct perception itself" refers to the essence of one's own cognition. If someone says that harmful inference is also not directed at the direct perception of self-awareness, because the object of hidden things is not the same as the object of direct perception. Therefore, it is said, "through inference." If someone thinks, how can the object of hidden things be the same? Because it is not direct perception. The so-called "how for hidden things" refers to this. The so-called "merely causing entry, not holding," if someone thinks that without holding and attachment, there is no causing entry, this is unreasonable. To this, it is "so different." The so-called "inference harms" is not merely through certainty, but because of not holding and no connection, this is what is to be explained. Therefore, inference is not mainly based on holding, but it should be said "from certainty." Even without it, it is not possible, because habitual holding itself causes entry, therefore it itself is a certain and distinct method, and it is of inference.

The inference also has the ability to enter beforehand, that is its meaning. For the inference of hidden things, since the inference of its non-existence arises from direct perception, it is harmful, because it arises only from conceptual thought. Someone says that. That is like the saying that comes from the transmission of blind people. The inference that arises from self-awareness direct perception, that there is no external object, whatever unobserved thing it is, is a statement that arises from two kinds of self-awareness, and that is also direct perception due to habit. Since direct perception is the root, it is shown that it is not harmful, that is the meaning of "for direct perception and the inference caused by it." Only the inference of external objects, if it does not exist, is not harmful, because it is a reversed clinging. Therefore, the opponent first puts forward "even the inference of self-awareness" to show. If direct perception is also like that. Therefore, since it is not the object of direct perception, etc., the object of direct perception, etc., also abides in the nature of not being an external object. Because that is what is being negated. Those will cause harm to the sect. Showing that it is unreasonable to say so, that is "Therefore, all knowledge." If that is the case, that example, is the example of a harmful mind. It apprehends what is not its own nature, and the mind knows the nature of not being an external object. Therefore, "It is also reasonable to negate the meaning taken by the confused knowledge. If only what is taken becomes a harm, one's own sect will not be established." Saying this is not good, because for the mind that apprehends it without apprehending, the knowledge itself is not necessarily without apprehension. Even if they are with apprehension, they will not become uncertain because of that. What is the significance of saying "if it must be without apprehension"? If the awakened mind itself is with apprehension, then the other will also become with apprehension, but this is not the case. For one's own part, the knowledge that is taken along by the direct perception that certainly harms, must be with apprehension. Furthermore, the situation is not like that, because it is too excessive. Showing "If direct perception comes first"
