It is called hidden. Where does this come from? It is called "of that itself." If it is thought that the single consciousness that manifestly desires discrimination does not possess the function of self-awareness, then what else is discrimination itself in relation to the object of the realm? To explain that, like discrimination, the object of the realm itself is also discrimination, therefore, the suitability of the meaning of sound for that is grasping onto that, that is the object, that is discrimination, distinguishing what is not suitable for grasping onto that itself. Because the knowledge that understands through the object is the knowledge of another self-nature, therefore, to explain that it itself is the object of discrimination, therefore, it is called "however, understanding through the object." The unestablished self-nature is understood through understanding the object. If it is established by direct perception, then it is called "if it is established by direct perception," meaning if it is established by the self-nature of direct perception, then it is not hidden itself. What is called "this itself" is the self-nature of not being hidden. What does knowledge do? It is the cause. It is not merely the function of the eye, etc., if it is said, isn't it the knowledge produced by that? It is called the entry of the ear, etc. What is called "how is it known" is that the product of the function of the eye, etc., apart from the self-nature of not being hidden, is not the object of direct perception, etc., that is the meaning. If it is said that because what arises from cultivation is also not deceptive, therefore it is a valid direct perception, then the knowledge in a dream is also not deceptive about the meaning in the dream, therefore it is a valid cognition. It is called "if cultivation." Confused knowledge, such as mistaking a mirage for water. What is called "existing in conventional truth" is that for the consciousness of those with parts, etc., it is called temporary. If asked: How is it like apparent direct perception? Other objects, that is, other forms, etc., those with parts, etc. It is called "entering with attachment to that, from where does it come." If asked: If the knowledge of a pot, etc., is the object of those with parts, why is it not direct perception? It is called "those with parts." What is called "this inferential knowledge" is the knowledge of a sign, it is the knowledge that does not arise without what is to be proven. Some.

"The term 'tu ni' means without familiarity. It is also considered that the knowledge of water in a mirage arises from other senses and is without the delusion of clinging to self. By the distinction of not being born from the senses, it only severs what arises from the connection between the senses and objects, from 'arising from subsequent inference' to 'arising from desire' are examples. The necessity of explaining the divisions of conceptual thought is shown as 'not born from the senses.' The reason for considering the former two as born from the senses is that the form and so on that produce it, and the knowledge of mirages and so on, have no interval with the existence of the senses, so it is shown: 'As the basis of any expression, it is the limb that has that, and the water and so on of remembering while others exist, those things are successively imputed, and conceptual thoughts are the very cause of mistaking them as born from the senses.' Why? Because sometimes it is a follower of direct perception. 'Adding more' means more limbs than form and so on. 'Seeing' means the previous experience of water. 'Conversely' means imputing in another order, that is, to what was seen before. 'Conceptual thought' means what was not there before. 'In both' means imputing to water as well, to conceptual thought or limbs. 'Because of entering' after promising, combined with 'sometimes,' shows other aspects, that is, 'Is it just approaching?' 'That itself' refers to imputation and conceptual thought, etc. 'By that' means sometimes direct perception and approaching It is shown that what is relied upon by the expression of experience is universally seen by not being direct perception itself, saying, 'How hidden,' meaning that relying on the expression of memory itself is contradictory to the direct perception itself born from the senses. 'Even if it is not so' means even without limbs, showing that 'it is the same object' is the explanation.
