Is it not the case that some parts of the Dharma and so on appear in that way? If one thinks, 'By what meditation will it become apparent?' The answer is, 'Through analysis, meditation makes it clear.' These statements themselves are just that. Because at the time of seeing, meditation has no power, and at the time of meditation, there is no seeing. To show that there is no need for what already exists, it is said, 'Therefore, true is not true.' That is its meaning. To say 'seeing or not seeing' is not established, because there is no need, and even without it, it becomes clear through meditation. The commentary explains it this way: 'Only existence.' If meditation alone through analysis makes it clear, then one might think, 'Will the chief and the self, etc., also become clear?' The answer is, 'For that,' which refers to analysis for what is unclear. The previously examined object is the nature of the Four Noble Truths. Having the quality of being in accordance with what it belongs to, and being non-deceptive, to show that it is not an object of non-manifest self, etc., it is said 'remainder,' meaning like the consciousness in a dream. To say 'for some' refers to certainty, that is, uncommon. 'How does the non-abiding change?' means 'Non-abiding is not non-abiding itself.' To say 'seeing the meaning is harmless' is because it is beyond the scope of the senses, so it is said to be difficult to determine, that is what 'if this' means. Following the Tathagata is the very seeing of the meaning, so it will cause harm, to show that it is knowledge obtained from non-deception, it is said 'of the Tathagata.' For the knowledge of objects such as the self, and for words, such as 'we' etc., doubts arise, to show that the measure of its characteristics is not, it is said 'from beyond the senses.' To show that the characteristics of reversal also do not harm the knowledge of the yogi, it is said 'the knowledge of the yogi also.' 'Its words' refers to the words of the self, etc. 'Its cause, knowledge' is the harm itself. 'This' refers to the debater. If one does not admit that non-contact things have the meaning of treatises, then because of the non-deception as the cause of valid cognition, and manifest

Because it is not decisive, and because it is not certain, doubt arises for those who realize through the determination of meaning, thereby showing that it is not a valid means of knowledge. This is called 'if it transcends the senses.' The other is called, that is, by direct perception and so on. Thinking that it will conform to being suitable to be deceived by others is because it is impossible. Regarding the knowledge of a yogi, why doesn't it also conform? It is shown by saying, 'the knowledge of a yogi is also.' A yogi has nothing, but only cognizes the knowable, therefore it is not conforming, that is what is said. 'Yogi or knowable,' the word 'or' is to be grasped necessarily. From what does it come? It is called 'established by nature,' that is, not made by a person. From 'established by nature' to 'determination,' or to 'if it exists,' is the debater. For the valid means of knowledge here, it is impossible for us and others, this is the answer. It is unreasonable for the non-deceiver himself to be the conformer, because it was spoken by him, and because we and others did not know it before, due to the doubt arising beforehand, it is shown by saying, 'however, that is seeking meaning.' Abandoning suffering starts from abandoning the cause. The reason for this is shown by, 'having the clinging to self and what belongs to self.' Are suffering and happiness and others not established? If it is not so, how is it that it is not there, is the excellence of happiness? Thinking that because there is no correspondence with it, 'if always,' it means that without suffering, the stream of consciousness of the same kind is not cut off, but continuous. Showing that the nirvana where the stream of consciousness is cut off is not possessed of valid cognition, like a lamp extinguished. Showing the meaning of the mind never being cut off is, 'by burning and cutting, etc.' From discrimination, that is, from wisdom. The reason for abandoning, seeing the fault itself, is not present in the stream of consciousness that is liberated from all suffering, 'if disgusted.'
