There is no need to rely on classifying validity itself, so there will be no infinite regress or mutual dependence, that is its meaning. So, regarding what was just said, through what is doubt eliminated? It is eliminated through this. What is said here is: eliminate doubt. Because doubt is eliminated, no one will pursue it. Even if it is obtained, one will not pursue it, because the function of validity is already complete. If that is the case, then through what will one pursue? Through determining the object of pursuit, that is its meaning. Is it not the case that merely seeing the difference is not the determined object of pursuit? If that is the case, then it itself is a component of pursuit, and it is not something that existed before. Experiencing the difference of being able to function, etc., because it did not exist before, how can it be the determined object of pursuit? What is the doubt after that? One will not have doubt about what is already determined, because one will have doubt later as well. Therefore, if seeing the difference means there is no doubt, then there should be no doubt before either, so it is not seeing the difference. Although that is the case, if one says that merely seeing completes the function, but the function of validity seeing the difference is not complete, that is: If the thing that appears as able to function itself. Just as one sees later, isn't it the same before? Therefore, if one thinks that these have no difference, then: Through direct perception or inference. That is to say, if there is no difference as before, then time cannot eliminate doubt either, that is its meaning. If one sees the difference, then how does the arising of eliminating doubt see the opposite of what was before? Therefore it is said: If that is the object of direct perception. Or, whatever difference is later seen to be of it itself. Therefore, in order to show that doubt itself is eliminated from that, it is said: Here, because doubt is eliminated. That is to say, if doubt is not eliminated when entering before, then one will not enter later either.

If so, what is the point of refuting it? Isn't it entering from previously seeing the meaning? With the thought, "For that, what is the need to refute doubt?" it is "For the meaning of all knowledge." That which has the determination of the nature associated with meaning is the seeing of difference, and that was not there before. For what arises to perform a function, that previously has meaning. By what is that seen? For the time being, the previous knowledge is not, because it has not seen the meaning that is devoid of meaninglessness. Merely seeing is doubt itself because the difference between meaning and the other is not seen. Merely those are the meaning of doubt. If that is the case, then if the meaning of difference has not been seen before, even if the function is experienced, how does that become a difference? Just as the proliferation of discriminations associated with function, so is its difference. Therefore, it is said that it is valid from terminology. The seeing of validity, whether it is established from terminology or not, is merely as something measurable, because it is established from worldly terminology, and the unseen meaning also easily follows in the same way, therefore it is not close to making a definition, that also follows through terminology, and if one is not ignorant of terminology, etc., it will not be reversed from the definition of its method, because terminologists only refute each other's ignorance. One's own wisdom, because it is separated from the difference of the grasped and the grasper, etc., therefore, striving diligently in meditation is not the place of the afflictions arising from seeing, because the teaching arising from meditation itself is what prevents reversal, because it does not uproot, so because it has already been seen, it does not rely on other validities. For meditations that are and are not that, it is the same, because generosity, etc., and heavens, etc., in accomplishment, because they are not the objects of direct perception, etc., therefore, one seeks scriptures and its explanations and other validities. It is not, for that.
