Because there is no (valid) reason, it is not established from delusion. Is not merely not grasping the object that will arise the very thing that harms this (valid cognition)? It is the same for those who want to manifest this as valid cognition. However, even if there is grasping, it is not necessarily the harmer, but (not) being the harmer is the truth. If that is the case, when the object to be obtained is cognized, why enter (this valid cognition)? If the object to be obtained is not cognized, even so, if it is not cognized as being certain, even so, since it is certain, how can the object of desire and certainty be the same? If it is said that the certainty that analyzes the aspect of cognition is certain in that way from recollection, even if that is the case, for the act of cognition of the object of analysis, that (certainty) arises from not cognizing, certainty and cognition being the same object at the same time is not the meaning. Even if it is not certain to do, but merely being certain from the meaning is enough to enter, from the Vedas, even if there is no certainty about the heavenly realm, but there is certainty about the fire sacrifice, because there is no difference, it will enter, meaning. If that is the case, just like direct perception, what arises from the Vedas will also become valid cognition. If it is the nature of being able to function, previously seen by direct perception, then existence arises from seeing something similar to it, because that is its own nature, it will become its kind. For the Vedas, it is not seen in this way, or belongs to its kind, or becomes existence, because it is not seen. Without this, and this exists, just like the rabbit's horn exists on the top of Mount Meru, because there is doubt, it is not valid cognition. That (verse) says: One's own nature is able to function, certainty is not knowledge. Thus it is said, for consciousness, it is to be cognized that everything is only related to being able to function. This is blue, is the nature of the ability to function, not just the object, the ability itself is only a relation, that itself is the object known in the way it is, this has also been said there. For knowledge, for what obtains the ability to function with certainty, then for that, is it its result, or its cause, or its

From its very nature, it is a valid means of cognition. If that is the case, then how can knowledge that has no function at any time be a valid means of cognition? It is not in any way, because if the function of a thing is not to make the thing clear, then what is the difference between it and meaningless things such as hair seen by a person with blurred vision? And so on. Therefore, for knowledge, the function itself is without deception. For direct perception and so on, there is no deception in the function. What is shown in this way is that from knowledge and so on that is without deception, the difference between inference and so on is distinguished, and it also shows the elimination of slander against all valid means of cognition. If it is said that the thing is the agent of burning and so on, is the agent itself, then the difference is not shown. Saying "completely determine the thing" is to understand the thing. The word "thing" also shows the nature of ability, that is: whatever thing has the ability to function, here it is the ultimate truth. This is explained by this sentence. Therefore, the non-deception of function is completely established through understanding. That is to say, in some cases it is true, there it is a valid means of cognition, and in other cases it is not true, therefore it is not a valid means of cognition. That is to say, from other things themselves, it is produced from the name of convention, therefore it is said to be produced from other things. When understanding the thing itself, it is determined that the nature of self-awareness is only knowledge. Therefore, just like knowledge, function is not a valid means of cognition, it shows that it is the basis of argument. Saying "not deceiving" means that it is considered to be only what is shown now. Even knowledge that is determined to be non-deceptive and that occurs frequently is not a valid means of cognition for some reason, let alone not being non-deceptive, that is the meaning. Saying "completely determine the thing" means that it shows the understanding of the relationship with the function. Saying "function has no deception" means that it shows that the truth related to it is a valid means of cognition. Wouldn't what others say become untrue? If so, then both of the related things also exist, therefore it shows the truth of the relationship.
