It is not possible to have knowledge from something that is unclear, because Vedic reasoning would also become unclear. If the certainty of the method itself is not a condition for entering, then merely by the characteristic of understanding, one cannot definitively enter, because that would lead to a situation where there is no unwillingness to enter. If it is said that one enters for that purpose because one does not understand the nature of the thing's function, then how does one enter another thing by understanding it as something else? Therefore, the certainty of it itself is what motivates entry, not the understanding of the method. This is not something that exists, therefore it is not a motivator for entry. Even if there are other certainties that are not motivators, there is no need for them, that is the meaning. From the knowledge that accomplishes the function of a thing, the later arising knowledge that depends on other collections is sometimes possible. Is it not that the knowledge that accomplishes the thing cannot determine? If it can determine, then the certainty of accomplishing the thing is what causes entry into the function of the thing. Otherwise, how does one enter another thing when one is certain of one thing? This is not a question to be discussed, because if it is the generator of memory and manifest desire, then it itself is the cause of entry. This is also merely a term with life, that is what is said. If accomplishing the thing is the object, then memory arises from it. If one thinks that desire, entry, and encounter also arise from it, then the response to this is: the standard of measurement should be understanding the thing, for what purpose is this written? If experience is memory, then how can there be desire or entry for it? If it is said that one wishes to accomplish it, then this is also unattainable. If what is to be accomplished is the function of the thing, if there is no certainty about it, then one should consider how memory or desire arises for it. Because the unestablished thing is uncertain. The thing to be accomplished, that is, the thing related to the nature of the function of the thing, is like that. Even if accomplishing the thing is certain, but if there is doubt about the function of the thing, then there will be no entry, because it cannot be determined that the function of the thing to be obtained is the accomplishment of the thing itself. Moreover, from the knowledge of the Vedas, the fire sacrifice itself is the accomplisher.

If it is certain, then it would be absurd to enter while doubting the future benefit of the heavenly realm. If it is said that it is entered through inference similar to this, that is not correct, because the very act of proving past benefits is direct perception. Because for the thing that is entered, it is not a valid cognition, so determining through means is not what combines entering with it, this is his intention. Therefore, it is said, "If it has been clarified." However, if it is thought that merely following what has happened, the very act of proving future benefits, is determined by the knowledge of the prover, then it is said, "If it does the work of benefit." The proving entity of benefit is the act of proving future benefits. Is benefit something else that arises from seeing the nature of blue, etc.? For fire, etc., it is touch, and for water, etc., it is drinking and universal touch. All such things are shown by the very knowledge of the prover. Although that is so, it is a valid cognition precisely because it determines the meaning of what appears, and for what is uncertain, like a moment, it is not entering, so it is a valid cognition. This determination is also, this blue, refers to the continuum object of the moment in which it is seen, or the continuum object of what is produced that has the same collection as it. Seeing becomes a valid cognition for an object similar to it from what produces it, but it is not a valid cognition from immediately obtaining its determination, whether it is the self or the object, just like inference. What is it then? It is precisely the determination of the meaning of what appears separately. Therefore, direct perception is different from inference, thinking this, it is said, "With what does it measure," this is true. Saying "This is blue" although it is not turning back from non-blue, blue is also determined to turn back from other blue. This is the same for the knowledge of yellow, etc., on a conch shell. However, that is what is harmed, and what is not harmed is a valid cognition, harm
