The answer that someone desires is: there is doubt about the result. That is what is said. Just saying "This is water" is not an expression, because it is also seen to be used for bathing or drinking. If that is the case, then only what is related to it will be cognized, not what is called "water." It is not so, because bathing and so on are said to be capable, and because that is not what others desire. What is not desired is also not the object of expression for the elders. Moreover, those are the means of achieving liberation, always understood from the Vedas, because they are similar to that, so they are the nature of Dharma. It has also been said that way. If that is the case, then the object of knowledge such as "This is water" is the thing that is capable of achieving the purpose, not the act of achieving the purpose. How is what is related to that a valid cognition? The cognition of silver is not non-deceptive for a conch shell, but for the light of a jewel, the cognition of a jewel is non-deceptive for achieving the purpose, therefore it becomes a valid cognition. Or, the purpose is burning and so on, and the act is doing things. The agent itself is the essence of fire, and for that, manifestation and so on are also non-deceptive, but that is not too extreme. The answer is: there is doubt about the result. That is what is said. Because knowing the method itself through desire is a limb of entering, even though doubt arises from arising from the method, it is not uncertain about the method itself, because for two views and so on, it is certain about its essence itself. For doubt, it is not admitted that it is a valid cognition. Here it is said: all beings' entering and exiting. That is to say, if it is certain about the method itself, then it is a valid cognition, then it will also become so for what arises from the Vedas. Manifestation itself is a valid cognition for direct perception, and subsequent inference is from what is seen to be determined as the proof. What arises from the Vedas does not arise directly from what is seen, and from the certainty of what is seen, there is also no certainty, if it is said so, then it is not so, because a pile of fire and so on are determined to be the means to heaven, therefore its certainty in some cases is determined as what is seen from what is seen, or in some cases, because the cause is not defective, therefore the cause without defect is not done by a Vedic person.

of the reason. Certainty does not arise solely from seeing something with certainty, because it can be seen elsewhere as well. Seeing is also not a valid cognition, because even if there is doubt about something that arises from a method, it is through the thing itself that the method is recognized. How is it determined? That is the same for the other as well. If it is said that things arising from methods are seen in some cases, and in others, certainty is achieved by seeing things similar to them, then that is indeed the case, and things arising from methods are transformed into valid cognition precisely from certainty itself. However, for things arising from knowledge, if things arising from methods are not seen, how is everything determined? Or rather, both are determined by knowledge itself, and because there is no fault in the cause, it is a valid cognition just like inference. That is not the case, because inference is a valid cognition precisely because it conforms to what is seen. For knowledge, there is nothing that can be taken as an example of seeing. If it is said that what was seen before is seeing itself, that is not the case, because one's own nature is not seen. In direct perception, the nature of the function of things is also not seen. It has been explained earlier that the connection with it is determined, and the connection is the proximity of the nature of the function of things, and it is precisely because of this that the name is established. If that is the case, then for knowledge as well, there is no difference because its nature is established through name. How is it determined that there is no fault in the cause? Because it is not made by a person, it is impossible to transfer its fault. For knowledge with dimness as well, it will become a valid cognition because there is no transfer of fault. For sound, this knowledge is like this: in this way, whether it is a valid cognition or not is determined by the presence or absence of a person's fault, and for oneself it is another situation. If it is said that it is like that, that is not the case, because for things made by a person, it is reasonable to distinguish whether it is a valid cognition or not through the presence or absence of its fault. For direct perception and so on that arise from knowledge that is not made by a person, it is only through the presence or absence of its own fault that it is distinguished whether it is a valid cognition or not. Therefore, even for things that are not made by a person, it cannot be determined that there is no fault in oneself. If it is said that it is the same only because it arises through sound, but not because it arises through things not made by a person, then it is the same in that it is through knowledge itself
