We declare that it is the knower of the object itself. What is meant by being similar to the object? It is not that because of similarity, it is apprehended as the object of consciousness, because it is too extreme. The consciousness of form is not a valid means of cognition for the tangible, because it is dissimilar. Therefore, the meaning is this: the consciousness of form arises from the tangible object form or the tangible, therefore it is asserted that it is the same as what is called "blue" or "fire." Because it is generated by that, like the knowledge of a black man's son there, and like the hair that grows from a cut, there is no fault because it is thought that similarity is the same. Therefore, it is shown that whatever is the aspect of the object is the aspect of the object. Whatever aspect is similar to the aspect of the object is the aspect of the object, because being generated by the object is the reason for asserting that it is the same. If consciousness cognizes the object by the aspect of the object that abides in itself, then how is the aspect of the object cognized? That which has the aspect of being grasped is not the grasper, and if it is thought that it is understood as a different aspect, there is no end. To this, it is said that "that is different, that is, the aspect of the object is different," meaning that it is only by its own aspect and not dependent on other aspects. Or, if the reason for asserting that what is generated by that is the same is not the consciousness generated by its own nature, then how is it asserted that it is the same? To this, it is said that "the aspect like the object is different," meaning that appearing to the object itself is appearing to its own nature, meaning that it is understanding its own nature. Or, the consciousness of form is the measure of the tangible form, this should be placed first, and "being a measure for the tangible, etc." should be placed second. Being similar to the object or appearing to the object, because appearing to the object is generated by that, it is asserted that it is the same. Showing that it is the same: that aspect of the object has also become the nature of consciousness, that is to say

It is action. The aspect of an object is the aspect of being encountered, meaning the very thing to be encountered. Because the aspects of the self-nature of action and agent also exist, by the nature of what is to be established and what establishes, even if validity and result are different, there is no contradiction. But the nature of result and cause is not. Therefore, as when sandalwood is cut: The axe does not harm the body of the sandalwood. Similarly, the axe and what is to be cut are not one in the world. This saying is also not a refutation, and the nature of result and cause is not separated from action and result. Whatever the action of arising phenomena, it is called the agent, and this saying is not contradictory. Is the consciousness that focuses on the object not its aspect? The nature of consciousness produced by the object is not other than that consciousness and is not focused on it. The knowable object is validity, and the object consciousness is the result, this is the distinction. Is being related to the object itself not being non-deceptive itself? It is also what is to be produced, because it is the object that grasps it as it is, so it is not the aspect of the object other than non-deception itself. Although it is true, its production is non-deception, and grasping it as it is is its aspect, this is the summary. If the eyes and so on are the cause of producing results, then because everything is an object, there is the fault of being too extensive, which is the same for the producer of validity. Saying with such a thought: How is that called the nature of consciousness? The so-called production at all times means that at all times, dreams and so on are the object, so it becomes the result, this is the meaning of being too extensive, but it is not so for the object. If there is another consciousness, then everything arises at all times, this is to show the difference of aspects, if that exists, then this exists. Validity is non-deceptive consciousness, as it is said, only the difference of consciousness is shown there, and here it is the difference of its aspect, this is the difference. Mere realization is not validity, nor is it proof,
