Therefore, it is so. That is not the case, because the function of speech is not only to make one understand its own meaning, but because it is solely directed towards what is desired to be manifested. Even what is desired to be manifested is intended to be understood, but the word does not act according to its own meaning, but according to the word to which it is directed. That itself is the main meaning of the word, not its own meaning, because it is not directed towards it. The mere burning of firewood is not the completion of the action, because it gradually enters into cooking, so the necessity of the word itself is that, not for explaining the Compendium, because even though there is no other function of true knowledge, it arises. If that is the case, then how will the first word be explained in the commentary? It is vowed to be the meaning of all the scriptures without exception. Those are also inferences that follow the meaning of others, so like "sound is impermanent," etc., it is a valid cognition, because it is vowed to show the object of inference that follows, so since it is an inference that follows, why is it refuted? Answer: It will be explained that it is because the pervasive reason is not needed. It is also to show that the remaining continuums of that also accomplish it. It is enough to explain it extensively again and again. It will be explained that the reason is that the pervasive is not needed. Now, in order to dispel the wrong imputation on oneself, the speaker and so on are mentioned. There are two kinds of imputation on that, namely the present and the past. Briefly, like the present, it is a clear commentary and sub-commentary. Your meaning is that there is no commentary on that, so that should also be abandoned. However, another small part should also be spoken like the appearance of one's own wisdom, Vilasita, who will count on that? Having abandoned the true path, Who can walk on the wrong path? Thus, sentient beings who are attached to connections, because they are imputed and not famous, make the listener's mind frustrated. Eliminating that also does not arise unless the faults of the commentary and so on are shown, so one should speak words that contradict reason and the world, and one should definitely be meaningless in the great meaning.

The first half points out the faults of conjunction and so on. Others, on the other hand, use this to expound their own tenets. Most of those who regard created things as eternal do not see this, and speakers who speak what should not be spoken consider it great. To express unclearly, to hide the very nature of having faults, is like adulterated silver. These are also mostly found in commentaries, that is, reasoning and explanation. Therefore, by these very things, to speak what should not be spoken, that is, what is inappropriate, that is, what has gone beyond the norm, and to assert non-existence and so on in such a way, just as happiness and so on, the nature of blue and so on is understood by knowledge. Similar to self-nature, yellow and so on are distinguished, but do not depend on the invisible or anything else. Even if there is yellow that is not an object, it depends on the invisible. And others, happiness exists but does not appear. Just as fire appears to others, so does yellow. Yellow and so on do not appear to oneself or to others, just like happiness and so on, it is only appearance, and even in appearance there is a difference, appearance to others depends on yellow, and happiness is the same. Just as happiness exists, but in its continuum, the feeling of suffering is not experienced, therefore it does not exist. For happiness that exists in the continuum of others, there will be doubt. Similarly, for blue, because the nature of yellow knowledge is reversed, it does not exist. For blue that exists in other continuums, there will also be doubt. Therefore, happiness and so on, and blue and so on are selfless, because it is established by direct perception, and even for the undifferentiated, it should be distinguished, this is the sound established by direct perception. Because it belongs to the category of direct perception, it is explained as a non-mundane meaning. Similarly, the cow with dewlap and so on, just like the name "this is a cow", is merely negation, there is nothing other than not observing its nature, it is merely showing the establishment of the name. For example, just as belonging to a cow from dewlap and so on, this is explained in the Pramāṇavārttika. Therefore, the name that is not different by not observing.
