At that time, it is also to first understand the actions of the Vedas. Depending on this, merely indicating that there is no object, it is said, "Why is it not the first?" and so on. For understanding as other meanings, from seeing truth and untruth meeting, doubts also arise about things with the same meaning such as fire offerings, thereby showing that they are not valid means of knowledge. This is "Even so." If asked why there is doubt, it is said, "The meaning of the Vedas." If it is said, "The sun is a yoke wood," and so on, abandoning the initial meaning and understanding it as another meaning, because it is indicated by the other meaning itself, there is no contradiction. What is close to establishing is that if it is not indicated by the other meaning itself, then how can the initial meaning be completely abandoned? Because it is understood that it must be so, it is thought, since it is not aimed at such an untrue meaning, how can there be doubt? Now, seeing the exhortation "The present spotted cow is a sacrifice" as meaningless, just as the milk squeezed by hand to make it rain is foam. This is also present, not the fruit of the afterlife. Therefore, the fruit arising from the combination, because there is no immediate proof, is not without harm because it is not manifest. Just as wanting to make it fully grow by raining to nourish the withered crops, the timing of the ritual is uncertain, which is unreasonable. The king is, performing the sacrifice to give birth to a prince. Like this, relying on the difference of kind and subsequent association, if relying on the difference of time and only the immediate result, then it is shown that this will not produce such a result. Wanting livestock, perform the sacrifice of the spotted cow. No, because there is no valid means of knowledge. The meaning of this statement is: the cause of things is understood like the fire of smoke through some valid means of knowledge, and if there is no result, it will be recognized as inconsistent. For livestock, the spotted cow is the cause itself, which is not established by valid means of knowledge. Those themselves have no immediate result, so still now

Also, because it is not the valid cognition itself, nor is it another valid cognition. That is indeed so. Because sometimes the present state is seen immediately, therefore proving the result is not contradictory to direct perception. Sometimes, even if it exists, it does not occur, because when some people eat half of it, it is obstructed by past karma, so it is obstructed by other karma, and if it is separated from it, it will occur. Therefore, the results of unperformed actions will also arise. Merely these cannot destroy the present state. Merely because it exists, it is not possible to prove it. Then what is it? Because it will not occur without it. For spotted cows and the like, these do not exist. For the present result, sound itself is not regarded as a factor proving things. Because such things are also the object of direct perception. Otherwise, if there is no present state, liberation will be attained, therefore, the direct perception that deceives knowledge is established as harmful. Existing in this way, the result arising from definite combination will become uncertain in time, and so on, all of which show that it arises only from human intelligence. This is what is called understanding other meanings. Apart from signs and sounds, it is merely recollection. From the nature of the previous recollection, it is also shown that the initial meaning is understood. This is what is called self-nature arising from knowledge. Sound, like the senses, does not inherently understand meaning. Then what is it? Even the immediacy of meaning is grasped. Grasping in this way is also like growth and merit, relying on what was previously entered. Understanding knowledge arises from the power of human intelligence. It does not arise from the power of sound. Definite combination is, etc., through these, even though definite combination and action are equally refuted, but it was not shown at the time of refuting definite combination, so it must be said. For this, it is not only the reason of meaning that is contradictory. However, the reason of sound is also so. Again, it is understood from the action after that. If the gods Sbyin and Mchod sbyin they...
