If someone asks, "What is Veda?" The answer is, it refers to all the scriptures. Understanding it merely in terms of its literal meaning, like other scriptures, is because humans are capable of it. There is no other scripture that does not follow human intention, that is its meaning. Isn't the meaning of Veda special? Those are not transmitted by humans, but humans are respectful and diligent towards what is done, so it is not even the same statement. Precisely because of this, it is without error. As it is said, "The root of Dharma is Veda." If someone says that the holy ones do not value it, the answer is, mutual dependence has been stated. For them, it is impossible to understand the meaning of Veda as related to the meaning of humans. If it is said, "How did wisdom not see the empty reason," then all the scriptures are the same in understanding reason. Because there is no certainty that can only be understood from the Veda itself, it is excluded, therefore it is mutually dependent. Therefore, Brahmins are also not the executors who act in the order of the Veda. There is no basis to slander other treatises. Distinguishing the special and non-special from the caste does not mean that the meaning of man is wisdom, nor does it mean that it is valid, which shows that Brahmins are twice-born. The statement about "it is impossible for the three castes to have errors," and so on, is unreasonable because the contradiction has not been established. Knowing the truth itself contradicts error. Caste, that is, the three castes themselves are lineage. The sons of Brahma are the Brahmins. Similarly, for hearing, what arises from the mouth of Brahma is fire, and from humans, the Brahmins are emanated. The special and the Vedas are not proven to be the manifestation of meaning and experience, because mutual dependence is the result. This is indicated by the word "that." The manifestation of the Veda is not special, then what is it? It is from its practice. If that is the case, then for those who do not understand, because there is no faith, how is it shown that this is understanding its meaning? That is what "the holy ones are from the meaning practice of the Veda" means. What is related to meaning is valid, the special

It is impossible to connect these three lineages with meaning. To show that it is also uncertain, it says "even the twice-born." If it is said that because they cannot err, it mentions "for sin," because knowing the truth itself and error are contradictory, but the error of the three lineages themselves is not prevented. If it is said that other doctrines are themselves erroneous, so they are not valid means of knowledge, and those who enter are not themselves twice-born, if it is said that they are mutually dependent, then what is shown is "from sin." To show that error itself and the three lineages with particularities will not be established, because there is no valid means of knowledge, it says "lineage and clan," what is called "confused forms" refers to those with matted hair and those who extract mud, and so on. The characteristic of clan is that it is the twice-born itself, this is clear. To show that for "Thuyu" and so on, relying on oral instructions, it is not obvious certainty, it says "for the obvious things, it is others." Like seeing the sky from underground. Obvious things are not certain, and oral instructions are certain for things that are oral instructions, but it is not like that. Thinking this, it mentions "having oral instructions," meaning that just as it is merely obvious, merely having oral instructions is also doubtful. To show that if the difference of oral instructions is certain, then the difference of the obvious is also certain, it says "if a Brahmin." To show that if it is merely thought to be obvious, then merely oral instructions are also the same, it says "if it is so." Even so, if it is both like a blue lotus, then it is without error. Thinking this, it mentions "therefore." Lotus and blue are not mutually dependent, although they are distinguished on their own objects, but obvious things and oral instructions are not like that, because the object is uncertain. If it is said, it mentions "without oral instructions." Even for the obvious things, the uncertain moment is inferred through the certainty of blue. Similarly, lineage is also inferred from the obvious person, for things that are uncertain there, it is inferred from oral instructions.
