What is it that, in the very first path, because of experiencing the abandonment of both kinds of ignorance, is shown to be without craving? It is the phrase "even if abandoned." What shows that it is not clear in the beginning of the path is the phrase "just seeing happiness." The opposite is selflessness. What is shown is becoming great. The so-called "by the very path of meditation" is the manifestation itself arising from familiarity. The so-called "by whose desire" is the sharpest of the sharp faculties; showing it is the phrase "by sharp wisdom." If there is no co-emergent thing from manifest cultivation, then there is no difference in cause and aspect, so it is said, "If the view of sentient beings is co-emergent." Even if the aspects are not different, they arise only from habit, so showing that the agent of the near cause is different, thus showing that co-emergence is different, is showing "becoming happy or." Similarly, it is not the action of manifest cultivation, because even without it, there are those who know the scriptures and those who have entered the stream. However, if they do not have the agent of the near cause, it will not only become self, so it is said, "silently" without seeing, is the meaning that the attachment to the self of the aspect of seeing them as self has been established. Showing that experiencing attachment is a sign of the result is "also without craving for self." Showing the very difference of the cause is "by the power of beginningless habit." In the beginning of the path, because the co-emergent is not abandoned, it is said that it is not liberation, thus showing that saying there is no affliction for liberation is "by this." Because saying self is not completely satisfied, it is a liberation that is not excellent. Therefore, thinking that acknowledging self itself is an excellent liberation is "if self exists." Showing that if self is acknowledged, it will not become liberation itself is "the arising of suffering," which is the arising of samsara. The connection of bondage and liberation with self is only the cause itself, and that is impossible for permanence. Aggregation and encounter are also only non-existent, because there is no difference in the times when it exists and does not exist
