The immediately arising moment of a potter, the later one is not, because the previous moment is the cause. That is the meaning. The qualities that are the opposite of what is called "without a cause," etc., refer to "impermanent cause," etc. For a permanent cause, showing no cause, refers to "always having a cause." If that were to happen, what would it become? It is said, "There is no turning back," there is no turning back, it means not being separated. Through the phrase "always having a cause," what is the cause of that existence? To this, add "there is no non-existence." Even if it is an impermanent cause, because the cause itself is destroyed, so for that, the actions of those who have discriminating minds are only without result, if you think like this, for what reason does the cause exist like that? This is to say that it exists like that because it enters in a continuous manner or exists in the nature of habit. The result is suffering. Considering "no mistake," striving to reverse the continuity or habit of the cause is the only reasonable thing to do. The commentator shows that existing like that means that the cause is permanent. Moreover, even if it is the continuity or habit of the cause, if there is no contrary path, because it is irreversible, one must know the path of its opposite side, and that is also shown to be more excellent than knowing only from contemplating the nature of the cause, so it is said, "that cause." "Having the wisdom of thinking" means that one will have such a reason. For the suffering of a permanent cause, it is considered that way, but not for an impermanent cause, that is the meaning. Showing that the destruction of the cause, if there is no contrary, will not happen, means that "happening" is entering in a continuous manner, just like cold and heat. For this, it is also thought that it will slightly become the opposite in the external environment, to this, it is said, "it will not become without a cause." Isn't the cause of birth the cause of virtuous and non-virtuous actions? And that is also created by desire and hatred, it is created by discriminating thoughts such as making it agitated, if that discriminating thought reverses, then the attachment etc. arising from that will also reverse, and from that, that action will also reverse.
