The object itself of what is to be done and what is knowable is related to it, but not merely its knowledge. Is not the object itself knowledge? What was said is, "The near object is called existence." The experience of the nature of what is to be contacted is the object, but not merely knowledge. For the knower, there is no knowledge of the fruit of what is to be contacted. Even if there is, those who seek it do not enter. The knower exists, but what is to be known does not, so those who seek what is to be known enter. No, because if the connection with what is to be known is not understood, there is no entry. This clearly shows that only a definite combination can enter. The definite combination is also not an entry because it exists at that time. The definite combination is to be proven, but it does not exist at that time. If so, because the connection with knowledge is not understood, it is impossible to enter from that knowledge. Therefore, for what is to be contacted, the knowledge of certainty is the measure of certainty in the mind only at that time, and not from other aspects. Nor is it a fault to fall into what is to be grasped by the senses, because for its own nature, it is not the object of truly superimposing. Merely the fruit is not to be superimposed as all causes. Similarity is the reason for superimposition. No, even if it does not exist, because the fruit of touch by form and touch is form, for the nature of the cause itself, it is the object of truly superimposing. Moreover, it has been explained that the non-cause is not the object, even if it is known that the cause itself, which can establish the form known by reason, is grasped. For the nature of knowledge itself, its own aspect, that is, establishing it as the nature of self, superimposition is reasonable, the object to be contacted, that is, superimposing the nature of the fruit on the cause, this is the meaning to be explained. For knowledge, its own aspect, that is, superimposing it as similar to itself, is not. Merely superimposing truly on the fruit has also been explained to be visible in some cases, but not in all cases. This will be explained to belong to the scope of self.
