The appearance of various things such as earth as being uncertain in themselves is actually permanent. If this is admitted, it contradicts the admission of pervasiveness, certainty, etc., which are spoken of in subsequent inferences, etc. The refutation is: There is no particularity, nor is there dependence. That is to say, if it is so, one can recognize that there is no particularity in the same place or time. If it is separated from parts, then how does it depend on other times and places, etc.? Because the ultimate result of recognition is recognized through the particularity of the fruit of recognition. If it is not the ultimate result of recognition, then as long as there is recognition, it exists. But it is not so, because it can be determined elsewhere. If you say so, it is not right, because the determination of it is aimed at excluding things that are not its fruit. Through such understanding, the pervasiveness of inference is also expressed. Similarly, in the commentary it is also said that at that time not recognizing is not its cause. If it is recognized, then because it is one with it. Because the ultimate result of destruction is recognized, it will be destroyed at its own time. If there is no distinction of certainty, then the fruit itself, etc., has no pervasive certainty. Or because it is recognized by others? Holding "that time" and "not that time" is also not right, because consciousness is not self-aware. Because all unrecognized things can eliminate doubt, and because the order is certain. Showing that the order of causes is the only certain one is, "If wisdom arises gradually." Recognition is close, and if it is not recognition, then it is different from it. If there is no difference from it, then its recognition should not recognize that it is not recognition. What shows this is "This mind's wisdom is endowed with order," etc. No difference itself is the same, and if it exists at that time, then how is it at other times? At other times it is non-existent. Why is that? If so, it would become the cause of producing fruit. It is said in this way because existence arises like recognition. Recognition is also the essence of seeing, because its own time is the object. Recognizing it itself also contradicts seeing, and is the object of action.
