Because of hesitating about clinging. Although it is not valid cognition, it is the nature of knowledge. The latter is also no different from the former, so it is not related knowledge. Therefore, although it is not the agent of doing things itself. However, it is not deceptive in achieving, that is, obtaining self-nature. Related to this, the former is valid cognition, because realizing that the nature of generating contact is the result, and realizing things is the result, as it is said. Thus, because it is realized by the very nature of not being confused about it. Realizing it in this way is valid cognition itself, but it is not its own cause. Just as the knowledge of smoke immediately after fire is the knowledge of fire, the knowledge of not being confused about what is to be contacted is the knowledge of what is to be contacted. The one who is not confused is the knower, the valid cognition, but the knower himself is not valid cognition, that is its meaning. That is also the same as this meaning, it is valid cognition itself, as it is said. The same as what is to be contacted is the object determined by the very nature of not being confused about what is to be contacted, that is its meaning. Realizing it itself is what is to be contacted, the realization of what is to be contacted. If there is realization, there is entry, realization and entry etc. are cause and effect, all these are reasonable on this side. But it is not on your side,

It is because of its characteristic. No, because at that time the ability is not understood, because when the form itself is seen, certainty is not generated, but hesitation is like before. It is unreasonable to think that the acting consciousness is also the object and the acting, because it is not simultaneous, and it is unreasonable to think that the non-sequential has sequence. Because it is only desired to be consistent with the action, it is the object. If the true and the untrue are distinguished, then there will be infinite faults and so on. That which arises from the certain is also the knowledge of fire that suddenly arises from smoke. If the relationship is uncertain, then it is not a valid cognition, because it also arises from the uncertain. In inference, that which arises from the certain, etc., has a definite reason, but not for direct perception, because it is certain of the object only by seeing it. For the knowledge of yellow, etc. on the conch shell, there is also seeing, and there is no other difference from that which arises from the certain. In this regard, the sutra says: "If there is no object, it will not arise, so direct perception is also a valid cognition." The meaning is that the object is what should be encountered. Therefore, whatever clings to what should be encountered and is not confused is a valid cognition, and others are not valid cognitions. As the outsiders say, it can be determined that there is no establishment of valid cognition other than by reasoning. Is the knowledge of blue not like the acting consciousness, etc., is it the cognition of blue? Because it can also distinguish it from others, because it appears separately without being mixed. In this regard, the sutra says: It completely cuts it off, and distinguishes it from others. It is to recognize the object from distinguishing it from others, and for those who have no doubt about the other itself. Because cognition itself is a universal valid cognition, and is contradictory to the specific valid cognition, so for clarity, it is said that it is a valid cognition from others. In this regard, the sutra says: "Therefore, it is the nature of cognition, and the two cognitions become valid cognitions, and the non-otherness is born from the cause, and is grasped by knowing the fault." So it is said. If there is no particularity, because it is the nature of establishment, it is a valid cognition.
