Du. The very nature of knowledge itself. This is called: Blue knowledge is the very nature of blue. Realizing this is also not a valid cognition for it, because then, the yellow knowledge on a conch shell would also become that. Because there is no encounter with yellow knowledge on a conch shell, it is unreasonable to say that it is not recognized, because the other case is also the same. Holding onto one is also the same as yellow knowledge. Like this, because there is no encounter with yellow due to attachment, there is confusion there. In other cases, because there can be an encounter, it is a valid cognition. In this case, what valid cognition is there that can be encountered? It is attachment. This is also the same as other cases. There, not knowing is later realized by other knowledge. In this case, because it is also seen that there is no encounter with attachment there, attachment to existence and non-existence is not common, so it is doubt. That is not contradictory to certainty, because the nature of gradual certainty is seen. Saying that doubt and certainty are not contradictory is a monk with unerring wisdom, afflicted. For doubt, determining whether it is existence or non-existence, this is very decisive for the world. The world calls knowledge that does not grasp certainty as doubt, from the appearance of two aspects of not grasping certainty, whether it is a stump or fire, the meaning expressed by the sound of doubt devouring the path is obvious contemplation on the uncertain. Because these two knowledges arise gradually, or in whatever order they arise, knowledge contemplates on the gradual uncertainty of two things. What is seen is not certain, whether it is gradual or otherwise, it is called doubt. The reasons for blue, etc., that are certain to arise gradually and non-gradually, will all become doubt. Therefore, because there is no cause for certainty that is attached to blue to be encountered. Holding onto one part, also like knowing, because the doubt about other things has not been eliminated, it is doubt itself, and not a valid cognition from itself. If that is the case, how will one enter? Because it is not a valid cognition. After entering, other knowledge
