Just as it is established in accordance with following after that, but not in terms of its own nature, because this contradicts direct perception. Although it is the sole self that follows from birth until death, there is not even a slight measure of proof that it exists before and after. If one sees the remembrance of past lives, etc., then that is it itself; similarly, it is not something else. It is said that the term "self" grasps it, just like the letter "ga," etc., is an uncertain object. Therefore, it is examined through the pervasive self and the absence of a fixed time. As it is said: "That which is not cut off is existent; whatever thing exists in place and time, in that way, if it is said to exist, then only those can be indicated, but not birth and destruction." One should perform fire offerings if one desires heaven, because the cause is cast in connection with the fruit of the next world. Similarly, the term "without oldness" means not old. The form of the self, such as the qualities of the body, or a part, is not, because it is not understood in that way. Therefore, even if it is destroyed, it will not be destroyed like the sky. The appearance of the conceptualization of "cow" and "horse," which is not definite, also arises from the power of seeing the definite, but because it is not like that, it is not a pervasive self. If that is the case, the attachment of the definite sound to it in various places is known to be constant from the sequential relationship, but not the pervasive self itself. Just as seeing a pot, etc., seeing the letter "ga," etc., is only a definite object, because there is no part, there is no one who can destroy it, therefore, through the sequential relationship, it is constant, it is the pervasive self. If it is said that even if it is a definite object, but in any case, what arises from the delusion of manifestation is also delusion, then if there is the attainment of parts, etc., it will be destroyed, because it is not seen that it will be destroyed, so how is this known? There is no difference for the partless either. If it is said to be a "cripple," then for this too there is a place separate from it. If it is said that the place is uncertain, then for the cripple too, it is like not creating a pot, therefore no difference is seen.

It is said that recognizing what has been seen before as being the same as that is the reason for being meaningful. This, aiming at the non-hidden cognition, gives rise to the term "self," therefore, for certain objects, etc., and not being non-self, it also explains the reasoning of observing the scriptures related to the scriptures. And it also shows the very fact that it is not made by a person. That is, similarly, starting from the knower who is not hidden, it says that showing other objects as self is born from the method, it is another situation of throwing away others, but if the method itself is blocked, then without the method, what arises from the method cannot be established, it is not like that, that is not completely abandoning the method, it is only knowing the self. Is self-awareness not self? It is not even existent from this, because it is manifest, so it starts from the word that the self-aware thing exists. That cannot be seen by others, if it is said that it is seen by oneself, it is not, because this, like a pot, acknowledges the action itself, and because the agent itself is manifest. The object of knowledge of knowing oneself is: It is appropriate for oneself to be the self. That is also, this is also knowledge, and pots, etc., are also knowledgeable, therefore it is knowledge. That is how it is appropriate to be the self. Who knows that? I am the object of my own knowledge, meaning that what is self-aware is my manifestation. Whatever is the first knowledge of action is the main thing outside, however, this is also abiding as an object of imputation, and because it is clearly related to this, therefore the agent from this is supreme, it is the word that one knows oneself. Otherwise, the supreme would not be shown, because the nature of the external agent itself is incompatible, this is the supreme itself. Likewise, the object other than the knower will not become that, because the nature is the knower, therefore the action itself of this is not other nature existent, meaning other than the object of investigation. If asked what becomes the knower, it is also said, the consciousness of knowing oneself is: One should know everything. It is said like that. After saying "everything"
