Or it could be shape. Because the types are different, they are different. Therefore, it is not established on the pot, or this "or" indicates that mountains etc. also have commonalities, or there is doubt about the example. Now, just like impermanence etc., merely being measurable is common, how is that? The thing refers to shape etc. The thing refers to not depending on differences. The reason is that for the fruit seen nearby, it is a valid means of cognition, because on pots etc., it is seen together with just a sentient being, just like that. Because on mountains etc., it is not seen together with a sentient being, so it is not a cause, and for non-valid means of cognition, it is uncertain, that is the meaning. If it is a confusion of direction, then for what is it not inferred? Manifest cognition itself also becomes the basis for establishing impermanence by making the sky etc. the direction. Therefore, being the direction is created by desire, therefore, it does not clearly show the uncertainty of things. When is it like that, then that is, just the shape, by what reason is it considered a valid means of cognition? By what reason is it not considered a cause? Measurability itself should be combined with "is the cause", because the reasoning is the same. Or, the Lord does not hold the cause as its nature, but the valid means of cognition that holds the cause as its nature exists, which shows how the Lord is said to be, and what is desired to be understood by the cause is, for temporary mountains etc. it is like that, but for its parts etc. it is not. Just like that, it is considered that it is not the cause, but the parts etc. are not, because it is not understood that it arises from that. That is, by what alone does the Lord consider it to be the cause? By what does it not consider it to be the cause? If that is the case, then the gods etc. will also become the cause, because there is no difference for not understanding that it arises from that. The cause of the parts etc. cannot be compared to the cause of the gods etc., because it is not understood that it arises from that.

And it is also shown that there is no distinction between having and not having because of the reason. For example, it is an object of parts, etc., because it is known to be the cause, that is, arising from it. Similarly, it is also proven not to be the cause, because it is known to arise from it. When it is like that, it is, when it is known that Ishvara (自在天) is not produced from it, who would consider it a cause, and who would not consider it a non-cause? If so, then for Devadatta (天授) etc., it should also be considered a cause without distinction, as before. If even if it is not known to arise from it, but Ishvara is the cause, then Devadatta etc. will also be the same. Otherwise, if it is proven to be absurd by "potter" etc., then why is it shown? Above, it is shown that becoming the cause of making itself, with distinction, is the opposite of Ishvara. Here, because it is only that shape, it is not the opposite. Or, it is shown that shape etc. are the same situation, for example, what Ishvara is the cause of, that is the distinction that does not depend on the shape etc. of the object. Non-cause is not the cause, the reason why it is not the cause is also a shape without distinction. Therefore, it is being considered whether the root of this is Ishvara or something else, therefore, this seems to be a reason. Even if it is the cause of doubt, it is not uncertain, because uncertainty is also obtained through obvious manifestation. Therefore, what is certain at both extremes is uncertain, but not the other. Is not the nature of observing from the opposite of not observing the permanent dharma, with characteristics, seemingly a reason? Similarly, observing the vicinity of impermanent dharma is also the same. However, merely not observing is only uncertain, because existence and non-existence are common. If that is the case, the shape itself is uncertain, but the characteristics are certain. Even so, shape etc. are not the proof, that is the meaning.
