The nature of being able to produce is cut off. Also, if the permanent exists at another time and is not a gradual actor, then the momentary is extremely non-existent, because it does not touch the later moment, so it is not gradual. Those who think like this, because it is not appropriate to benefit in various ways. It is said that there is no measure of gradualness in impermanence, saying that it is non-existent, and repeating it. How is it known? Because in impermanence, it is the nature of benefiting in various ways. Seeing the gradual benefit of seeds by earth etc., it is also endless, because at the first moment, the approaching causes etc. gather and produce special things. It is not that only that moment can produce fruit, because like the latter, the former should also become. What the speaker says is: The measure of permanence is non-existent. Those who say this, the solid permanent, at this time and at the later time, is also of one nature, because it is pervaded by its opposite, because it cannot be known, it is said to be the true nature, having rejected it like this. Now, as for the constant permanent, like the nature of the mind etc., like having a mind and not having a mind, because it shows the antidote to faults, the cause of virtues, it is said to be the true nature, which is the measure. Those who do not arise from it, those who show by seeing the function, do not arise from it, so they cannot know, those who show like this, are the various ways etc. If it is pleasing, because greed etc. are the cause of pacification, this function arises from this. If it is pleasing, then it is seen that poison is extinguished, and mountain medicine and eye medicine etc. are accomplished, those who think like this. However, those who say the order of pleasing etc., the answer is: It is accomplished after that is said. The world holds on to it, saying that it is the nature of pacifying greed etc., sentient beings known by the black one, can extinguish evil poison. The ability to detoxify the dragon king who holds the world should not be known, because it is seen that it can do a small part of the benefit of the man. Excellent virtues are completely excellent.

It is not the case that one realizes the attainment of nirvana or the power to bestow it, which is accomplished through association with unsurpassed merit and so forth. Because it is too extreme, there is no power whatsoever to bestow even a small amount of benefit to an individual. That is its meaning. Direct perception and so forth are not valid cognitions because they benefit by making the object of engagement readily attainable. It is not because they are to be benefited. Therefore, there is no contradiction in the fact that validity itself is to be benefited. Thinking this way, one says, "Whatever, whatever, in whatever way." This is said because when one sees a contradictory aspect and focuses on the antidote, it is another's valid cognition that indicates from focusing on the power. Otherwise, if one does not understand the power, how can one indicate the contradictory and the antidote? That is its meaning. If one says that by experiencing detachment, one understands its path or the opposite aspect only through implication, then it is said that there is no such activity for that. If one says that there is something, then understanding by implication is true. If one says that there is nothing, then where is the need for people? Is it not also from this that one sees all things as they are, like detachment? Thinking this way, one says, "However, all of it." The answer is that it is unreasonable if one does not experience desire and so forth. Desire and so forth, which depend on others, should be taken as objects. It is not that one oneself follows and closely destroys them, because this is the wisdom of pus. Its own nature is its own characteristic, not another's. That is its meaning. It is shown that liberation is not attained through experiencing self-awareness itself, saying, "If one experiences." Or, thinking that one who possesses desire and so forth, who possesses power and so forth, is not detached, then one says, "However, the desirous one." If desire and so forth are not contradictory aspects of power itself, then it is meaningless to indicate its antidote to others. Similarly, for those who are related to it as well.
