If it is admitted that other consciousness can cognize, then, if it is indeed cognized by other consciousness, others will also use it. If happiness, etc., with other causes are also cognized by other consciousness, then, even if it is not cognition, other happiness, etc., will become happiness itself. If it is cognized merely because it is the object to be taken, then there is no difference between the cognition of one's own and others' happiness. If it is said that one becomes happiness itself by cognizing one's own happiness, that is not correct, because it is also the nature of making others feel comfortable. Other people's fire will not burn, and other people's sandalwood will not make one feel comfortable. Then, how does mental happiness arise? One's own sandalwood makes one feel comfortable, what will other people's sandalwood become? Is that the nature of causing pain? If it is not mental happiness, what is the situation? For that, one's own happiness arises. For cognizing others' happiness, one should rely on it well like this. For those happiness that one has not produced oneself, how can one say that this is not true at that time? If it is said that one feels happy because of one's own happiness, that is not correct, because there is no difference in nature. Because it is distant, that is its nature. If one cognizes, what is distant? If it is because one does not cognize that it is like that, if it is not like that, if one cognizes, then it is self-cognition. Touching with all natures is the characteristic of self-cognition. If one touches with one aspect, then other aspects besides that are not cognized. If happiness, etc., with all natures become me or body, etc., then me or body will become self-cognition. Things or others become self-cognition, if what makes it self-cognition follows all natures, then it will become self-cognition itself, because that is the characteristic of self-cognition itself. If one also follows others' happiness, then it will also become self-cognition itself, because it cannot be otherwise. However, even if one follows, it will not become cognizing happiness, because there is a difference. What is happiness, what arises from that, and what appears there, is the wisdom of happiness, it is not whatever it may be. For cognizing others' happiness, it is not others' happiness and what arises directly from that. That arises from signs, not from objects. Cognizing others' happiness through inference

Yir ro. Self-nature awareness appears, and if it is said to be directly perceived, this is a distinction. Answer: It is born from that and appears in that. If consciousness is not a different entity, then the object of focus is also on another. These two are definitely present. Others also grasp the very nature of the happiness of others, so the nature of appearing in that is only accomplished through commitment. Therefore, it is not seen through signs, because it is similar to the eyes and so on. Because it is born from the meaning, there is no difference in the two. If it is not born from that, and is also not an appearing one, then consciousness becomes without an object. If that object is not grasped, then the general characteristics are also not grasped. It has already been said before that it is not a real thing even in the slightest. Commitment does not arise relying on the power of valid cognition. Therefore, the ultimate truth is this: consciousness cannot be born from signs, and it is also not an appearing one. If that is the case, then, if based on the characteristics of the object, the happiness of others and so on are not objects, then this appearance in the consciousness of others will not be in the form of an object. If the general characteristic appears, and inference arises following that, because it is a general object, the answer is: no, the general does not grasp, because it does not grasp what is unclear. It has also been said before that the general is devoid of appearance, letters, and forms. If that is the case, then consciousness is also empty of that form, so that also does not become the form of this consciousness. Answer: No, consciousness is due to being placed nearby, it should not be transformed and desired. Due to the power of habituation, consciousness possesses those aspects, which the world commonly knows. Therefore, it is said, therefore, the appearance of meaning is not different from that consciousness, therefore, direct perception and self-awareness are established. If that form is the self of consciousness, then direct perception and self-awareness are established. If the nature of the happiness of others is what is inferred, then from that other aspect, it is self-knowing. Is that also the nature of the happiness of others? Answer: No, because others have not perceived it. Because it is harmed by the perception of others.
