Because of the contradictory reversal. Because it is not a property of the subject, not being a property of the subject is not contradictory, other properties of the subject are uncertain, therefore not being a property of the subject is not uncertain. Therefore, it should be indicated by its own name as "unestablished." The established subject is also unestablished, and for any situation, unestablished is also the case. As the teacher also said: For both, with the established dharma, to make a name and return, or, for one of the two unestablished, and if the subject is unestablished, it is not accepted. Why? If the property of the subject is the reason, then how "sound is impermanent, because it is produced, whatever is produced is impermanent," and "permanent dharma is not produced"? Similarly, the result is not pre-existent, because if it does not exist, it will not arise, because it is a proximate cause, because it does not arise from everything, because the agent is capable, because it is the substance of the cause. If you say so, here it is said: Where the reason and what is to be established, follow or are absent when absent, are stated in five ways, that is an example, from the giving of the reason itself. For example, sound is impermanent because it is produced, whatever is produced is impermanent. Similarly, sound is also produced. Sound is impermanent because permanent dharma is not produced. Sound is not produced, here in five ways, the example is shown with similar and dissimilar classes, this meaning is together with it. Similarly, one should also observe for not arising from non-existence, etc. How these are not reasons, as has been shown. Furthermore, the reason for which the relationship is not established, for establishing what is to be established, is incapable, this exists then that does not, therefore these are not reasons. Because it does not arise from non-existence, how is this not a reason? Because the arising of non-existent rabbit horns, etc., is not seen, if you say so, merely by reversing this, the establishment of the reversal is not established. If for some non-existent things, arising is not seen, then everything is like that, where does this actor come from? Without the relationship of reversal, the pervasiveness of reversal is not established. No smoke

Because there is no fire, if asked how pervasiveness is established? If it is established by valid cognition that fire pervades smoke, then it is possible. Even if one travels through all sentient beings, one cannot know the exclusion pervasiveness that is not there in that place and in other places, because it is impossible to travel through all places and times. If one establishes a connection through co-occurrence, then by that very force, exclusion pervasiveness can be well established. This has already been explained before. Therefore, these are not true reasons. Therefore, these are not true reasons. Its dharma nature is contradictory and uncertain to the reason. Therefore, by clearly showing existence and non-existence, it clearly elucidates the inference for the sake of others. In order to understand that there are no remaining three modes, it is explained extensively, and the remaining ones should be collected from the "Compendium of Valid Cognition," therefore, the author of the "Commentary on Valid Cognition" is open-minded. Because the debates of "kyi" always favor one side, so in the past one could favor by nature, that is because one knows that it is the state of mind of establishing and not establishing. Abiding in the Middle Way, therefore, for the sake of the mind, establish that wisdom. The masters receive the merits of Dharmakirti with immaculate intention, like this, what should be known, how can someone like me have the right to explain it? Therefore, I have been thinking about the reasons for a long time. If one is slightly familiar here, in order to make others accomplish that meaning here, my and others' schools, whether it is reasonable or unreasonable, have been changed in this meaning, which is very reasonable here. Although one can say many good things here, in order to make others understand and accomplish, so these are done briefly. From the source of jewels, one obtains a collection of jewels, although there are no wise people who take them, but it is not that there are none. Because of attachment, just like decorating a beautiful village, like decorating the body with ornaments, I also made the decoration of the "Commentary on Valid Cognition," but not for arrogance. Thus, this mind constantly understands the subtle aspects of the Dharma of the Thus-Gone One, and the wisdom of those who diligently strive to accomplish the benefit of others will become the meaning of goodness. All sentient beings rejoice, the mother who gives rise to glory, fire, and the moon, besides the great river, if the ocean also goes elsewhere, who has ever seen it? Thus, I have composed this faultless treatise, virtue.
