And because it appears as such a form, it becomes a term called appearance. Seeing by oneself or by others is understood from subsequent inference, so it is established as meaningful. From that, knowledge with such a form arises, so it is reasonably called the object of apprehension. Knowledge that arises without it is established as being confused. Ultimately, subsequent inference does not exist. All arising of subsequent inference is preceded by direct perception. If direct perception relies on subsequent inference, then they are mutually dependent. As long as subsequent inference is not valid, direct perception will not be valid on external objects. If direct perception is not valid, subsequent inference will not arise either, because it is preceded by direct perception. If it is not like this, then it will become a transmission of blind people. Therefore, ultimately speaking, it is experiencing the nature of self-awareness, not external objects. This is said after acknowledging it, not saying that everything is just established as such. Therefore, the object exists first, producing any form, that is the object of apprehension. Other things that work together do not produce forms because they have no benefit. The nature of things that work together is not the object of apprehension of knowledge, because it arises in that way from its own cause, it has no benefit, so it does not produce knowledge with its form. Therefore, for knowledge, how can it not clearly distinguish with its own nature? The nature of things is hidden, because it is established as producing knowledge with its form, and it is not recognized by its own nature, so knowledge with its form is recognized by recognition, so it is clear. If it appears from the power of its own cause, then for it, other things that appear at the same time have done nothing, if it is recognized in this way, then it is only transformed by its power. For knowledge, the form that is not present in the time of awakening is not recognized by its own nature, therefore, even if it enters into it, it will also realize the form of knowledge in it, but what is the object that relies on vajra and stone, etc., how is it reasonable with its own nature? This is also possible, like this: any firm vajra.

Like horns, etc. Also, because the meaning does not depend on others. The consciousness of all beings arises as a single self-nature. The pervasiveness of time's parts is called constant and stable. If its own nature is just like that, then at that time, all its aspects are held by the experience of possessing it oneself, because it holds that which is ultimate and possessing. Because one consciousness is complete at the same time, it will not become constant. Completeness at that time does not become called constant. Seeing all parts of time does not become a long time, and it will also become the same time as spring, etc. This fault also exists in one consciousness itself. How does one simultaneously hold the parts of time that arise sequentially? If one does not hold them, then this is not pervasive in time, so how can it be constant? Therefore, if this is one, it will hold oneness just like that. If, relying on other causes, other consciousnesses arise, so it changes sequentially? That is also unreasonable, because there is no dependence. The single self-nature that arises from its own cause is dependent on another that becomes its essence. If what later becomes an object is seen by another, then that is what arises later? If it is said that at that time it is impermanent, because of helping each other by acting together. These arise sequentially from this, and it is said that each moment is different. Here too there is a fault, as before. If the sequential consciousnesses that act together, such as the eye, arise sequentially? If that is so, if consciousnesses arise sequentially, then what is to be seen also arises sequentially, because without consciousness, things are not what is to be seen. Even if what is to be seen is simultaneous with consciousness, it is not the nature of prior and later, because consciousness is not like that. Therefore, like consciousness, each moment is different, so it depends on the cause that arises from its own previous continuum, or it changes to another. Therefore, here too there is a fault as before. If the various kinds that are closely attained by causes such as the eye

It is the one and only without interruption. Therefore, that which is without interruption, the grasper itself that becomes uninterrupted due to being uninterrupted, is the one and only. Therefore, are vajra and stones, etc., permanent? That is not the case, because without interruption, vajra and stones, etc., will not arise in measure. If it is said that it is not in any way, then by what is this uninterruptedness realized? When there is no interruption, even up to the final limit should be realized, as has been said. Therefore, it is the same for vajra and stones, etc. Therefore, since sounds, etc., that do not exist are related to realization, it is established that consciousness is of the nature of an object. The teacher also said: Later, even from memory, that is not without consciousness. This is established. The explanation is that two aspects are established even from memory. If it is thought that it is two aspects by nature of what is to be known and what knows, but not by the nature of the object itself, that is the meaning of the text, then that is not reasonable, because the object is known, that is known, and from the difference, there are two aspects. Because this is the occasion, that is also the occasion for establishing the object's appearance. How is it known that consciousness is of two aspects? Because, that is experienced by oneself, there are some disputes, namely self-appearance and object-appearance. Among these, there is a great desire for the object-appearance itself, because, that is experienced by oneself, there is no dispute at all. That meaning is not established like pus, in that there is true memory established. Is there no dispute about experience either? That is not the case, this is said only after thinking about the name. Self-awareness is what should be established, this is reasonable. Is it also the case that it is experienced by oneself? It will be established later. Therefore, it is said that there is no dispute only about the experience itself apart from self-awareness. There is a dispute about the aspect of its meaning, because that is not established. That aspect is also, truly remembered, established from memory by distinguishing. Is it not reasonable to remember by distinguishing even for what has no aspect? If it is said, how is the meaning established from uncertainty, then,
