Because it is just like that, it is not reasonable to consider it different. Therefore, if it is said that something without action is the thing, and others are not, it is reasonable. If asked why everything is not the thing itself, why not admit that everything is experience? Even if it is the nature of experience, since everything is self-awareness, how can it be the thing itself? If it is said that experience is hidden, that is not correct, because there is no Sanskrit Roman transliteration: pramāṇa, Chinese literal meaning: measure). If asked what is self-awareness, it is because it can be seen. If it is said that others can also see experience, then what Sanskrit Roman transliteration: pramāṇa, Chinese literal meaning: measure) is there for this? If asked what प्रमाण (Tibetan: ཚད་མ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: प्रमाण, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: pramāṇa, Chinese literal meaning: measure) do you have, it is precisely non-other-awareness. If it is assumed that there is no illuminator, then how can it be an illuminator like an unilluminated pot? That is not correct, because there is no establishment of being unilluminated, just like a lamp. If asked how is it with the pot, it is because it exists in darkness. If asked how is it known that it has self-nature, it is because one can see touch and so on that depend on a single condition, and others can see things like walking at night. In reality, it is not like that, and this is precisely our view. Therefore, the appearance seen by someone with blurred vision is self-awareness, just like a lamp. Furthermore, if the color has power, then just like a variegated cloth, even without a lamp, one direction should be visible. Like this: if that itself is the cause of intelligence, then how does it depend on a lamp? The nature that has change and scope, even if one direction is missing, still holds the other direction. If it is said that such a thing itself is the cause, that is not correct, because blue and so on hold things that depend on other self-natures. If that is the case, then should both be considered causes? Because it is sufficient with just a lamp. Neither is a cause. Even if the object is covered, it is only visible because of the lamp, therefore what is seen is not caused by both. However, because different appearances arise, it cannot be denied. However, because it arises at that very time, it is not the nature of being unilluminated. Therefore, the statement that the action of the eye intervenes, so it is not Sanskrit Roman transliteration: jñāna, Chinese literal meaning: wisdom), is irrelevant, because at the same time, it does not have the action of the eye.

If the agent acts on its own nature, then it will become like light, produced by the lamp itself. Just as the lamp has light from its own continuum, the eye also has the nature of being completely bright in front, so there is no fault. If it is said that light is different from the lamp, although it depends on the difference, it will also become like the lamp, the light is not illuminated by the lamp. Therefore, apart from the eye and form, other consciousnesses do not exist because they have no measure. However, the two natures blessed by experiencing their own essence are experience. Because other causes of such experience need to be investigated. It is established in the second intellect. If it is said that what has the appearance of being in front is the thing itself, and that is the object of consciousness, then, since the thing is grasped by its own essence, therefore, differences such as near and far, clear and unclear, are not possible. If it changes from the difference of appearance, then cutting and not cutting, seeing and not seeing will become the same. The thing that exists without exceeding the boundary of the seen object, because it is born from its own causal continuum, separated from other natures, and related to the determination of nature, therefore, what appears is its own essence, then, by what is it illuminated, and related to other natures, even if it is the distance of the object, etc., how will this appear as different? This is also what is seen, therefore, since the external object itself with appearance is grasped, it is not its own appearance. Grasping the nature with certainty, without lacking, is not appearing as different, because its nature will become different. What appears as the nature of being in front is the thing itself, because the characteristic of the thing is like that. Therefore, if it is different, then the thing itself is completely different. Even if things are different, it cannot be said that there is light, etc., because things appear as other, it is not possible to say that other is not light. Its nature is itself, and it is light itself. If it is its own nature, then, how can there be other natures? If one recognizes its essence, then, how can nature be different? Recognize that there is no difference.
