Then, how should this be understood? Because one sees the untrue, it is said that the power of sight declines. If one sees the true, yet still thinks it declines, then all sights such as pillars will not decline, but will be permanent. In this way, the decline of the power of sight for a time cannot be directly recognized by its own nature; therefore, it must be examined by inference. This ability is like inferring its existence from seeing the fruit; similarly, it should be inferred from the decline of the fruit. And its fruit is also what is seen, which is either true or untrue. If one sees the true yet still recognizes it, then there will be no such thing as "undeclined." If it truly exists, but because what is seen is unseen by others, it is said that the senses are declining, if that is the case: The eye cleared by cataracts, for the sight beyond the senses, how is the meaning of what others see not clear? If someone sees what others cannot see, then how can what he sees of what others see not be clear? In that case, there is no sight. If someone sees subtle things that others cannot see, then what he sees is what others can see, which is seen as completely clear. If that is not the case, then it should not be considered a correct sight. If it is said to be correct and will also be seen, is this not a contradiction? If the sight is not correct, then how can it be correctness itself? Apart from sight, there is no other correct reason. If one defines sight as incorrect, then it will become that there is no correctness itself, because there is no difference. If one says that there is no unreasonable sight, that is not right. Who sees in what way? This should be understood immediately. Otherwise, seeing one way, yet admitting it in another way, how is that possible? The changes of the senses, following the appearance and disappearance of phenomena such as cataracts, the observed things are not produced by other causes, do not have the nature of producing and experiencing, and are not related to subsequent things; this statement is unreasonable. It should be proved that following the changes themselves, such as cataracts.

No. Even so, if you admit that it is external, it is just talk. For example: From the arising of appearance's power in the mind, others can understand the ability through one, therefore others are not the cause. Other than appearances, it is not like the power of a lamp, but the mandala of the object. Therefore, since there is no other cause, it is not an object, it has already been explained that what is not a cause is not an object. It is not reasonable to say that it is an object because of appearance, because appearance also exists in illusion. If you ask: How is it an illusion by its own nature? Appearance by its own nature is self-awareness, not an object. If you say: Because it appears as other, it is not self-nature. Then, how can appearance by its own nature be said to appear as other? If that which appears is also that which appears as other, then, if appearance is endless, similarly, others are also self-awareness because they appear as their own self-nature. If it is said that they appear mutually, then blue and so on will also become experience because they appear mutually, because blue and so on that abide in experience are only the nature of experience. From following and reversing, the cause of the nature that determines the function is the object. The peacock's feathers do not determine the function from following and reversing, therefore, this is not an object. Because there is no establishing another aspect other than the nature that abides in experience. When pillars and so on are awakened, the objects are seen by other consciousnesses, therefore they are separately established as different. Because the result of it, the burning of the ground, is also seen. If here also those who are obscured by cataracts see it as the same, then, no, because it is the same for them also. For the fire that is objectified by illusion, the result of the ground burning is not seen. Therefore, both are illusions. Or, is that fire not actually burning? No, because there is no such understanding. To understand something that is not like that as being like that is illusion. If you say: It is an illusion based on worldly conventions. Then, the truth itself also depends only on worldly conventions. Because everything appears as its own nature,
