Yourself, etc. If it is the object of the cause itself, then the eye, etc., also become the object itself. If it is established by its own aspect, then in mirages, etc., as the object of knowing water, it will also become water existing in other places. Therefore, it depends on both. If that does not exist, it will not become an object. The self-nature of consciousness that cannot be understood without an aspect is experience itself. Even if it is not like that, it is foolish. It is not possible to establish the object of its aspect. Because understanding and other occasions are not allowed, this has already been explained. If it is understood, then what do others do? Because it is meaningless. If it is not understood, then it is not possible at that time either. Not understanding is not the object of understanding. If it is thought that it is understood, then it is understanding its own self-nature. It is not possessing other actions either, this has been said hundreds of times. If the aspect is established, then the aspect is valid cognition, and self-awareness is the result, is it not established like that? How is that itself established? This has already been explained. Furthermore, The object-consciousness, that consciousness, From the difference, two principles arise. Whatever is the consciousness of the object of form, etc., is the meaning and self-appearance. Whatever is the consciousness of the object-consciousness is the appearance of consciousness similar to the meaning, and self-appearance. It is not like that. If the consciousness of the object is only the aspect of the meaning, or only its own aspect, then the consciousness of the object-consciousness will also become indistinguishable from it. Whatever is the consciousness of the object is the meaning and self-appearance, this is to be established. Those below it are the reason. It is not like that, etc., is the valid cognition that harms. What kind of consciousness has arisen in me, when is it that it is fully understood, at that time it is naming the appearance of meaning with memory, not at other times. If one makes faith the object, then it is just like that. For example, the speckled cow, etc., which is made the object of faith as a cow. Like this, This appears as such, What is the meaning, not knowing? That is completely abandoning the meaning, Determining the aspect of consciousness. If someone says this is the meaning, then how do you know?

When asked "is it?", if such a phenomenon appears, then, does the thing exist there or not? Is it like that? Or has it become something else, I don't know, that's how one answers. Therefore, by completely abandoning the thing, knowledge itself is the appearance. If it is the same as the thing itself, then how can it be certain and uncertain about it? Because certainty and uncertainty are contradictory. Or, only the gross appearance is certain, but the inner difference is not. Therefore, saying "this looks like" means that only this much appears, and the other is not, the thing itself is both certain and uncertain, because it has two parts, if you say so, this will be discussed later. Furthermore, for the mind that possesses things, even if you doubt that things do not exist, for holding onto past things, the self-awareness of two ways is established. Some knowledge is not an appearance, because there is no self-awareness. Nor is it recollection, because in all cases, what is recollected is the thing itself. In this regard, just as understanding knowledge through understanding the thing, similarly, it is also unreasonable to think that recollection is unreasonable. Knowledge is not experience, nor is it the image of the thing. Therefore, if you vow to say that knowledge has two ways, this contradicts direct perception. Because stating the reason for hesitation, thinking is not the basis of the reason. The application of reason also lies in the example, it comes from grasping the connection. This also does not exist, because in all cases, the image of the thing has become the basis of the argument, if you say so, for the party that possesses the thing, if you say that this is not the image of knowledge, then doubt will arise, but the texture of hair and so on, and the appearance of yellow and so on, which is not the mind that possesses the thing, then the two images and the experience itself are established. To this, saying "consciousness is hidden" itself contradicts direct perception.
