Or have you seen it in another way? In order to refute this view of Don Gön, one should accept it as he sees it. If experience itself is the seeing self, then from where should one seek its seer? If it is seen through self-awareness, then in that case, there is no difference from hatred and so on. If my own nature is other, and if it is measured by consciousness, then the nature of blue and so on should also be blue itself. Why is consciousness not born from consciousness? Since the nature of my own substance is known by other consciousness, then why not also admit the same for blue and so on? Blue is also the nature of self-awareness, and it is other; the nature of substance will also become other. Like myself, blue and so on are also the nature of awareness. If it is said that the nature of both is not established in enlightenment, then that non-establishment is also the same in action. By name alone, one cannot make one thing into two natures. One thing is the nature of one thing, the mind is thus engaged. If it is said that many natures are one, then everything will become one. If it is said that the knowable and the knower are one, then why not admit it from blue and so on? The knowable and the knower are one, then blue will become me. If it is said that it is not so because the objects are different, then why not from the difference of nature? Different nature is from different nature, this is known to all the world. Since the nature is different, how can it become different because the objects are different? Therefore, the difference of objects and so on will become the differentiating factor. Therefore, without self-awareness, all consciousness is without an object. The distinctions of bondage and liberation and so on do not exist in the ultimate sense. For those who see all things equally, there is no difference. In the ultimate reality, in whatever world, there is no effort to attain liberation and so on. If the five consciousnesses are meaningless there, then there is no need for any proof for a rabbit's horn. Just as a servant does not exist in the ultimate sense, so too are the distinctions of bondage and liberation and so on, because they are the same. Furthermore, because of the arising of conceptual thought, the idea that external objects exist and so on is a false notion. Differentiating between external and internal and so on is not without establishing conceptual thought. It is not without conceptual thought, but the very act of conceptualizing is to differentiate between external, internal, common, and having the cause of habitual tendencies and so on.

is established. Since the nature of manifestation is non-conceptual, one realizes one's own nature, not the nature of others, as has already been taught. Therefore, this is the thought: when discrimination arises, the knowledge of existence, etc. Intelligence. If one makes false assumptions here, other valid cognitions cannot understand it. Because there is no valid cognition, it is difficult to obtain this knowledge of existence, etc. Non-discrimination is said to be the nature of external objects. If understanding is to be achieved through understanding the meaning, then easy understanding of the meaning is the nature of discrimination. Since discrimination is not a valid cognition for the Buddha, will the knowledge of existence, etc., be destroyed because there is no valid cognition? That is not so. If there is no other discrimination, it is known to be a valid cognition. When discrimination and other things are not valid cognitions, even if everything is destroyed at that time, what can be taken away by others? If so, is there no conventional truth? Who can prevent it in the relative truth? Is everything discrimination? If it is said to be the reason for conventional terms, then it becomes the ultimate truth, because it does not deceive conventional terms. If you say that, it is also unreasonable. Habits and connections change, having an invisible nature, when appearances arise, they appear as if they have infallibility. If two people with yellow eyes mistakenly believe that they appear as gold, and they do not deceive each other, what ultimate truth is there in that? This should also be explained. All our knowledge is inverted because it is discrimination. It is not difficult to find closeness, kalpas, sentient beings, etc. This is the Blessed One's closeness, and the teaching of this Dharma from it, and the inversion from those, and this existence and this non-existence, those called difficult to obtain, are said to be the nature of the establishing discrimination, because it is not true. This is because it is determined by the power of habit, and although it does not exist in the ultimate sense, it does exist. The Buddha's single view is the wisdom that falls into extremes. For all wisdom is false, and there is no object to be harmed. Thus, because it changes from habit, it itself is the cause of harm. How can those who do not say so become confused?
