Therefore, the non-apprehension proves the non-existence of things. If there is apprehension, then it is not proven by others, so it does not exist either. If it is said that it is not proven by others, that is acceptable, because apprehension itself has the ability to prove. If it is said, "It does not exist, but arises from itself," that is too hasty. If one's own essence becomes a thing itself, it becomes ignorant because of apprehending other things. If it is said to be direct perception, then because it exists as such, meaninglessness will also be established. If it is said that the non-existence of the essence of non-existence arises from the direct perception of others, then the essence of things will also be the same. If it is said that a thing is not the characteristic of apprehension, therefore it will not become non-existent from the direct perception of others, because it is of a different nature from its consciousness. Since consciousness is not of a different nature from consciousness, its non-existence is established from the direct perception of others. Even so, the supreme person does not say "there is no apprehension," so it is not right to say that clear apprehension is meaningless. Therefore, this non-apprehension, which is called "understanding through one's own direct perception," is not a characteristic of ignorance. If it is said to be so, that is not right. Through apprehending other things, how does one understand the non-existence of other things? If it is said to be through its emptiness, why is it not through non-apprehension? Merely understanding non-existence through emptiness does not prove the non-existence of other things through apprehending other things. If it is through emptiness, then apprehension itself is non-apprehension. Then, how can the absence of an experience different from it be fully proven by direct perception? If it is said that this is not a distinction to be made as a characteristic of apprehension, because it is without confusion, if that is the case, then although there is no distinction, non-apprehension itself will not revert. Therefore, all negations arise from non-apprehension. It is not so, the non-existence of a thing that is the nature of negation is established through direct perception. It itself depends on other things and is also non-apprehension. Whatever the supreme person says, "This is not non-apprehension," is because this is the occasion of the characteristic of ignorance, and not for negating the absence of a thing, because there is no difference from it, so the absence of a thing is also

It is precisely because of this. When existence and the object of perception are the same, the contradiction of things is not a part of what is manifestly established. If it is said, is it not the case that the non-establishment of things does not arise from the non-perception of what pervades? Like this, existence, which has become the nature of the object of perception, is pervaded by the object of perception, and from that non-existent emptiness nature, does the non-existence of things become established? This is indeed true. If it is so, then at all times, this non-perception of self-nature will not become the establisher of non-existence, because non-existence is known by manifest perception. If the non-perception of what pervades, which has become the nature of the object of perception, is manifestly established as non-existent, then at all times, non-existence is established by manifest perception, so the so-called non-perception of self-nature will cease to exist. If it is not from delusion that the non-perception of what pervades is the establisher of the non-existence of things, then even delusion will become an object through memory, so what is the need to examine other non-perceptions? Or, if it is only said that the non-perception of self-nature is the same for the wise, just as one knows from sudden smoke. For such manifest perception, non-existence is not. Furthermore, here, what is pervaded and what pervades, in ultimate truth, are without difference. The object of perception itself is existence, this is because it is first established with great effort. If it is allowed like "existence," then those who say that what is pervaded by the object of perception is established by non-perception are teachers. This is the same for those who speak of non-perception of self-nature. Because it is its essence, it is impossible to become what is pervaded and what pervades. Like that, the object of perception is existence itself, this has already been shown. If a certain result, because it pervades the cause and is without contradiction, therefore has no difference from its nature, then how can the delusion of saying that that non-perception is included in the non-perception of self-nature, how can that experience of non-perception not become the non-perception of self-nature? Therefore, other existence is other non-existence, other non-perception is other perception. That is only the non-perception of self-nature. If even so, will the non-perception of the distinguishing characteristic become non-existent? Indeed, the non-perception of self-nature
