Thus, since the result arises from the cause, this is because it is contained within its own nature. In the explanation of the excellent differentiation of reasoning, no example is given as different. In terms of the nature of emptiness, the non-existence of things is not something that can be analyzed and observed in the realm of valid cognition, and although it is established only in its own essence, it is not established in the slightest. This is what those who have the view of understanding things as confused think. In this regard, if things, by their very nature, possess distinct places, times, and natures, if they are different, then what is the use of examining the non-existence of other things? However, if it is not different by its own nature, then in that case, the non-existence of other things is also meaningless. It is meaningless for one, and impossible for the other, as has already been stated. Therefore, the non-existence of things, such as a vase, which has become its own nature, is shown in this way as a separate mode of being devoid of other things. Thus, the nature of the meaning that one wishes to express, the self-nature that is devoid of it, whatever is the object of one meaning, that which is the direct experience of self-awareness, when memory is brought to the fore from that, one's own mind arises, realizing the thought, "This is not seen." From that, the very object of the direction is what is not seen by others, and why is that? This is because it is not seen as the nature of the other. Here, the meaning is that it is not seen as its nature, and this is what is meant by saying that this is not its nature. If it is said that the vase does not exist here, is it to be established that this is not its nature? If one asks how to say it the other way around, if the other is also not contained within this, if there is a truth, then it must be contained within that. Thus, by the nature of that place, it is either empty or this can also be a vase. For the wise, in any case, there is no appearance of distinction. If it is not devoid of this nature, then this will also not be devoid of it, so what need is there to say anything else about the extremely clear meaning? Therefore, being devoid of it is the non-existence of that thing here. Why is that? Because seeing the place devoid of it is what is meant by not seeing it, or the nature of something other than it.

Just because the thought of "it is the object" arises, therefore, both object and non-object are its nature, so the object itself is the non-object. If it is allowed that this is other consciousness that does not perceive, then how can other knowable things not be perceived? Because it has already been shown that consciousness and knowable things are not different, there is no fault. Or the word "or" means "thus." Because this is the object of the discriminating thought of "how not to perceive," therefore, just as the definite object is the object, from the certainty of the thought of "non-object," it is also the non-object itself. If the non-thing that establishes the non-thing itself, wouldn't the things achieve distinction? How can the non-thing not be confused in that way? That is not the case, as follows: From experiencing one object, the discriminating consciousness of "this is the object" or "non-object" arises. From the particularity of the experience itself, the particularity of things is known. It is not the experience that has such a nature, this is the cause of the nominal consciousness. If the experience is special, if the experience has no other interval, then for knowing the particularity of what is experienced. If self-awareness does not experience with its own nature, then at that time, the difference will not be known. If the non-thing is known by reasoning, then for the experience without difference, the ability to recognize the thing is not established, because it is impossible to turn what is taken by the valid cognition into something else. This has already been shown, so I won't say it, as follows: Without memory, it is impossible for the valid cognition of non-things to exist. Without other differences, the opposite of removal is not remembered either. Without the memory of the opposite of removal, the valid cognition of non-things will not arise, and it is also impossible to remember the opposite of removal without particularity. Or if you have experienced particularity before, if that is the case, this is also the case, so the non-thing itself is meaningless. Or if the non-thing itself is established as the name of non-existence, then what is the use of establishing what has already been established by others? For the establishment of names, the nature of the nature of the reason of self-nature is that non-perception.
