It is just like that. Completely abandoning it, that is what appears as another nature. If it is not like this, because it is recognized as mixed, there is no name, so the measure is meaningless. If it is said that the measure is named from other blocking other, that is also not possible. Like this: For direct perception to recognize, if it is harmed by others, direct perception is not a measure, and others will not become a measure. If direct perception is not a measure, what is there to trust in others? If the thing itself is mixed with others, then even if other measures block it in a hundred ways, it is not blocking, because one's own nature cannot be turned into another. If it is said that some natures are not mixed, then the way in which the nature is not mixed has also been grasped by direct perception. If it is not like that, if it is not grasped, how can it be the opposite meaning? If it is recognized by others, it is understood as the opposite, if it is recognized by others that it is not like this, then it has already been shown that everything is not trustworthy. From day and night to the depths of the house, as soon as you enter, it becomes something else, although it appears, it is the latter, and direct perception harms the former. The thing that arises in the depths of the house is not a measure. Therefore, the initial view will be harmed, but it is not the measure itself. Therefore, if direct perception grasps the opposite from the two sounds, then at that time it will doubt others, or it will not be like that. It is the same from the establishment of what can be heard. Therefore, because there is no opposite, doubt will arise from what can be heard itself. Similarly, everything has opposites. The teacher showed that there are opposites only by relying on not seeing. If you ask: Then, how can it be determined as one and opposite? The answer is: The certainty of being one without doubt is the opposite, this is not, but it is the certainty of being one without doubt that is the opposite. That is not the constant and the impermanent are determined as having and not having, therefore, from the ultimate truth, there is no opposite. Therefore, it is uncertain. In this way, the difference has been explained temporarily for the sake of debate. Now I will explain it in general. How can the opposite be determined as one?

Similarly, that which does not understand the inverse relationship is also a certain and unique concomitance. For example: Because it is measurable, like a pot, sound is also impermanent. For the non-existence of space, this reason, because there is no inverse relationship, is concomitant. Because space is neither existent nor non-existent, because it does not exist. If it is said that the reason for that unerring concomitance is understandable, then that is not the case. Because for the aspect of the non-existence of space, even if that is not existence, even so, measurability, for this, will not reverse in any way. For non-existence, too, like some aspects, only measurability exists. If that is not the case, then the very act of naming in affirmation and negation will disappear. Mere existence is not capable of being named. The nature of existing by mutually abandoning each other is also the object of the naming of things. If that is not the case, because it is empty of meaning, the very effort for those who strive for meaning will become meaningless. If one cannot distinguish oneself from others, then who would name for whom or for what? Therefore, everything will become merely non-existent. If one does not understand the aspect of the other, one cannot properly shape one's own aspect. Space, too, is undoubtedly measurable as merely the absence of an obstructive object. If that is not the case, then not even a single step can be taken. Therefore, by definitely distinguishing things through the nature of existence, the non-existence of things is measurable, because that distinction is made by valid cognition, it is measurable. Merely having things as objects is not valid cognition, because valid cognition is the characteristic of distinguishing, so the very act of distinguishing is valid cognition, if others do not harm one's own object. Therefore, because the unerring naming can be determined by the knowledge that proves it, the non-existence of things is only measurable. Because it is only measurable, saying "because it is only measurable" is not an unerring concomitance. Therefore, because it is common, it is uncertain. Or, if it is said that measurability itself expresses something that can be completely determined by direct perception, then that is the case.
