If you say that, it is not correct. It is not because it negates the absence of others. For example: What reason is there that when it is absent, life does not appear on a vase? If that is absent from the body as well, it is unreasonable for it to be absent from the body. On a vase and so on, mind and effort and so on are also absent. Therefore, if life and so on are negated because of absence, or if it is said that it is because there is no self, then what reason do you have here for not doubting? Because what reason is there that when mind and so on are absent, life does not appear on a vase, if that is also absent from the body, then it would become empty of life and so on. Since mind and so on are not absent, how could it become a negation of life and so on? Or, if a living body and a vase and so on are the same in terms of selflessness, then even if the dharmas caused by the presence and absence of mind and so on are different, because it is selfless, the living body would also become empty of life and so on. Even if the dharmas are different because of the absence of life and so on, will it become with self? To this, it must be said: If because there is a slight similarity in dharma, it is understood as different, then at that time, just because it is measurable, why can't vases and so on be inferred to have a self? There is no such thing as a slight similarity in dharma. If you say you don't want this, then it is valid cognition. Because hope is the cause of all things. Without it, how can things and non-things be distinguished? Hope does not become valid cognition, but rather for those who have valid cognition, hope with discrimination will arise. Even if you don't want to be proven by valid cognition, it cannot be changed. Valid cognition is a reason that exists independently without relying on hope. If it is not like this, valid cognition has no autonomy, and hope can arbitrarily accept or reject things and non-things, then things and non-things cannot be established. Because the debater's hope will prove the things to be proven that are the object, and the opponent's hope will make things and non-things exist indistinguishably because of hope. Then, those minds and so on will also be understood as having a self, therefore, if mind and so on exist, then life

If it is said that "the change of etc. is not not changing," is that unreasonable? It is not unreasonable, because it is other itself that causes it to enter. If it is certain that it is my mind etc. that causes it to enter, then is it reasonable to cause it to change by changing? It is not like that, for example: Life and opening the eyes, etc., Are born from memory, desire, and diligence. They arise from object, faculty, and consciousness, They also arise from mutual conditions, From the changing own kind. Only this much is my real thing, Dependent on the following change. If you think otherwise, there is no end. Memory, desire, and diligence, etc., enter into what is not desired or something else, and from that, life and opening the eyes, etc., enter. If you ask from what does memory etc. enter? From object, faculty, and consciousness etc. These also arise from their own kind depending on mutual dependence, the object of the object is the previous object itself, and so are the faculty and object etc. My real thing is only related to this collection of cause and condition, so there is no need to approach, what do others do? If there is no self, then wouldn't it not become the nature of memory that connects before and after? For example, whoever sees, that is who remembers, because what others see cannot become the object of others' memory. Is this also just reversing? What can be accomplished from this? There is no seeing from one memory, because the same before and after cannot be directly recognized, and memory is not a valid cognition either. If others are the object, and do not remember, even then they will remember because of the difference of others. Saying "other" does not mean that all others are the same. Whoever becomes the cause of memory, such non-other is born from its own cause, because cause and effect are certain. It is not because there is a self that there is memory, but it arises from having a lineage of clarity, habituation, and possession. If it is not like that, then there will be constant memory. If you say this, if there is a self, then it is memory itself, but it is not said that if memory is the self itself, because without a rememberer, memory is impossible.
