The self-nature of meat and smoke, being uncertain as a cause, similarly, making it understood also becomes uncertain. If it is certain, how can it not be what makes it understood? Because there is a reason for the uncertain to make it understood. If it is said to follow it, then it becomes its reason. If it is not so, but it becomes so, then it would be too extreme. If it is said that it is the same for the possessor, that is not right. Because of what? For those who have, etc., there is no such connection, those may have confusion, so it is said to be irrational. The support and the supported are possessors, because they are the same as having. The gatherer is the object of genus, action, and quality. The place is not what makes the dependent understood, because without the so-called object of cause and effect, there will be no non-arising. Genus is also the same, when clarity disappears, because it is only understood as singular, so it is not what makes one understand having a genus, because the object of cause and effect is impossible. However, the dependent makes the support understood, because for it, there is non-arising if it is absent. If that is the case, then is it not the object of cause and effect itself that makes it understood, but is it intended to be said that it is non-arising itself? That is also not permissible, the difference of non-arising itself is the object of cause and effect. Therefore, it is said, even if there is a connection, that itself is the establisher of understanding. Certainty is non-arising if absent, uncertainty is not the establisher. Certainty to others is the object of cause and effect itself. If it is not so, then it is not what makes it understood, it has already been said. In the sense of establishing self-nature and fruit, it is said that two reasons and two contradictions are shown. That is for the sake of argument, difference and commonality, explained by "etc.". Difference is uncommon, it is uniquely contradictory. Commonality is the follower. Others say that those two uncertain things also make it understood, to this, the teacher uses "For it, is there in the same category?" etc. to show that it is not the very thing that makes it understood.

Thus it is done. If it is said that only that which has a single opposite can be understood, then, if the opposite of one is established from one, that is true, but it is not established, because it will be mistakenly attached to both sides. For example: The opposite itself is certain. If it is not, it is said that it does not arise. This also does not hold for those who are unrelated. Therefore, abide by following. How can the selflessness of life and so on be established? If it is said that only those with self do not arise, then this does not hold for those who are unrelated, because they will not retreat from all incompatible aspects, because they cannot retreat from their own aspect. By what can one know the saying "that is not," all incompatible aspects are not visible. Only through following can one know. Because the one who holds on to certainty is the one who holds on to connection, and this is the function of direct perception. Therefore, holding on to certainty also throws away others, if it is not so, then one cannot hold on to the nature of certainty. For example: If the other exists, then it does not exist, if it exists, then only it exists, if the other does not exist, then it is not non-existent, therefore one can know its fruit. When the scent of sandalwood, even if the other exists, does not arise, if it exists, then the scent of sandalwood of the one that exists, it is established that it is its fruit, because it is not other, it is certainly established. This is also because if there is no opposite, then there is nothing. The opposite that has become its nature is also established. If it is said that at all times, the following of this arising from this does not establish a difference, then it is not so, this arises from this, only this can know it. This also does not arise from others, thus it is known. The saying that this arises from this and also from other places is not the cause of understanding, however, it arises only from this, not from others. Thus, also because the previous birth of that from other places has not been seen. If it exists, then all those who are certain without interruption have knowledge. If it is said that although it does not arise from any other, it arises from the difference of others,
