Where there is no mistake, the knower is, because this name has been spoken, those are the reasons for it. The distinctions within it are also such that the nature of the knower is that very nature, without difference. The fruit is different from that, and because it is the cause, there is a difference. Therefore, it is said that whatever has attributes, etc., does not have such a relationship, and because there is a possibility of misunderstanding, it is said that it is not a valid reason. If it is known by having attributes, then fire also has smoke, so why is it not a knower of smoke? If it is said that there is no non-mistaken one, then that non-mistakenness of a different entity is the very thing of cause and effect. Here, others say that if the thing of cause and effect is the knower, then because it dwells in both, fire also becomes the knower. It is not so, because it is said that whatever exists arises, and whatever does not exist does not arise. The thing of cause and effect that belongs to cause and effect does not exist, therefore, the thing of cause and effect is the knower, which means that the nature of the cause and the nature of the effect are the knowers. If that is the case, then why is the cause not the knower? It is only because it is the only one, and there is no other change in it. It is only that it cannot be known in that way. How it is known, in that way, it is not the knower. That very nature is the knower. Like this, when this fire makes smoke, it becomes the nature of the cause. If it is known as the maker, it also becomes the knower. Because it cannot be reversed in that way, that is its fault. Like this, if there is smoke, then because there is nothing if there is nothing, that is the fruit. Difference pervades, why is everything the nature of the cause? Likewise, it is also said of the reason of nature. There also, if one knows the nature of wood, then wood is also the knower. Because that nature is not known as happiness, the knower does not exist. Even so, the knower, the knower does not exist. Even so, if one knows without distinction, then it becomes the knower. Therefore, if there is no fruit and no distinction, then all things cannot be known. How are wood and fire, etc.
