In order to explain that, on the contrary, there is another form of the nature reason that pervades the similar side. If, among them, there is a similar class, and, which of the two does not exist. That is contrary to that reason. Other contradictions are uncertain. Has it not already been explained, why say it separately? Explain it like this: The content of inference has already been explained. In order to understand the stated reason, only a detailed classification is stated, but there is no difference in nature. By explaining the difference, it becomes clear itself. Among them, "having a similar class" and "two kinds" refer to, for example, "sound is impermanent, because it is made" and "because it is newly produced" and so on. If it is not like that, if neither is pointed out, then the definition of "two kinds" itself is possible. If the similar class exists first, then because there is no example, the definition cannot be established. If it is contrary to the dissimilar side, then just like that it includes everything, so there should be no doubt. That is true, even so, the statement of giving an example is for the sake of understanding the definition of inference itself. The definition is the inference itself that shows its own meaning. Then, why not show the reason, and the nature reason like that, and the three that pervade the similar side? If so, can it be understood? This is not an argument, because of what? Therefore, this, through the proof of the effect, also explains that the nature is dependent on one side. Therefore, compared to effort, it is clearer to say birth together. Because, showing detailed classification is for the sake of understanding, so the teacher, through this cause of the effect, also showed the nature of relying on one side. Therefore, an example is given similarly. If that is the case, why not give an example of the very obvious proof of the effect, "because there is smoke here, there is fire"? What is the use of giving an example of the cause of the effect that needs effort to establish, and the newly produced cause?

What to do? Therefore, examples are given such as what is manifested from effort, the fruit of birth, and the reason of nature. Consciousness also arises immediately after effort and is also nature, so it can be exemplified in the same way. If it is said that the immediate result of effort is nature, and the immediate result of nature is consciousness, because what is not a cause is not an object, then this is unreasonable, because it is said according to the views of others. Others say that sound is permanent, believing that sound itself arises immediately after effort, so they say this to them: the object is also the cause, and if it is not the cause, it is not the object. Therefore, the consciousness desired immediately after effort that you speak of should also be produced by sound in its own way. Therefore, all other things, both earlier and later, should be grasped, because they cannot be grasped as other. It has already been shown in Thorling that it cannot be grasped. However, it is also necessary to grasp the collection of all time parts of the nature of what has arisen and what will arise. If it is not so, then when one sees it later, how can one remember on the ground, at that time, what was seen, saying, "This is that"? Like this: "This was also seen at that time, If not grasped, it does not act, When grasped, with remembrance, Then the previously existing is established." That argument is also bad, like this: "I have grasped what will be born, By grasping, it is not known, By remembrance, it is known, That is truly very wonderful." For that which has the nature of grasping but has no grasping, yet has remembrance that follows, this is very skilled in distinguishing real things. The nature of what will arise cannot be grasped, because doubt will arise, because sometimes it will disappear. If it exists, I have grasped it, remembering in this way, it will become an object that has already been grasped. In order to understand this, if one thinks that it is also only grasped. Twelfth Chapter. It is not right, for what is grasped, if that, how will meaning arise? Doubt.
