Object of Observation. If one focuses on another vase, there is no other like that. Similarly, what is the nature of the object to be observed? At that time, that is the observation itself. At other times, it is just like that. Because it is not, it is not observed at other times either. That is also unexamined. Like this, if its nature is one, how can it become that and not that? If it is multiple, then later, it cannot be called observation itself. Because without it, there is no nature of existing there, so because of it not being observed, what is called time does not exist. The very nature of observing the essence of prior and subsequent is what is referred to as time. Like this, we believe that this time exists, and the nature of cold being daytime is time, and nothing else. If a thing is one, then time also becomes one. Therefore, because that time does not exist, it is not an object of observation. If it exists, then time cannot be established. If it is other, then because time is permanent, it is only observed as the nature of prior and subsequent, and so on. However, if the parts of time are moments and instants, and so on, then at that time, time becomes just a moment. If the generality called time itself is permanent, it is not so, because time is of the nature of sequence. Or else, it also observes the prior and subsequent objects, so it will observe all times. However, since the parts of time are not observed, it is not right that what is not observed is like that, because, like this, since there is no seeing of others, how can appearance not be seen? Being unseen and being one, how can one be able to see? This also clarifies that doing together is a special meaning of the past. It is not reasonable that time itself, which is to be clarified by the moments of prior and subsequent objects, is the same. Therefore, if one observes as soon as the sound is produced, then it is certain that one will also observe the nature of what existed before and what will exist later. Therefore, the nature of prior and subsequent is also observed at that very time, and because there is no other nature, it will become just a moment. The characteristics of a vase and so on should not be obscured either.

Because of clinging to all self, nothing is done. However, if it benefits the faculties of diligence, then even at that time, because of clinging to all self, clinging to the previous nature, providing assistance to the faculties is not necessarily clinging to self-nature. Therefore, the so-called definitely clinging to the immediately following nature, if it is unchanging here, then one can also see the immediately following nature. Therefore, that is only so much, not constantly approaching the faculties. For example: good deeds are also like that, because they have become like that and approach the goal. Even if one acts well, for that matter, that matter itself does not exist. Because one cannot approach the goal, constancy will not exist. Because the goal itself exists, there is nothing other than the goal. If it is constancy, it cannot be a goal. If it is allowed not to be a goal, even so, how can constancy not exist? That which does not become a goal is the characteristic of the goal not existing. If its nature is not the characteristic of not becoming a goal, then, precisely because of this, it is not only the goal that exists, if it does not exist, how can it exist? Therefore, constancy is impossible. In the aspect of providing assistance to sound, that itself is impermanent. Precisely because of this: if there are some things that do not depend, because they contradict not producing results, knowledge like this is occasional, because it is established as a result, it is its sign. Whether it is sound or anything else, if it is universally present at other times, then at that time it will be clung to like that, and the result of occasionally not being clung to will not change. That is not an occasional nature, and in other aspects, clinging is not holding it either. However, that is an illusion, because one cannot cling to the nature that is universally present by seeing the other shore, and if one cannot do that, then it is also impossible for the object to be taken not to become other. Even if that is an illusion, it is valid because it does not deceive. If the illusion is harmed by the view without illusion, then at that time, can one not determine that this is an illusion? No, because the realization of cognition that can establish the nature of pervading place and time can dispel it. That is because that
