Since it has changed, how can its own action and behavior be non-different? If so, whether it is the same or different, it is the thing itself, not an illusion. If sound is permanent, then the sound that has just been produced will not be definitely known. Why couldn't the meaning be understood before? If it is said that because hearing can understand, it is not understood in other ways, then, if at the time of indication, isn't that hearing itself still following now? It will become understanding, but it will not fail to understand before later efforts. No, because there is no manifester at that time. If it is said that the manifester is manifesting at the same time, then that is not possible. Like this: Just as the manifester is simultaneous, so is the action of manifesting. Similarly, all the natures of the manifester and the manifested object become manifesters. If that which exists at another time is manifested by it in the same way, then how can it rely on the manifester at that time? That which does not manifest its own nature in an unchanging way is not a manifester. If the nature that pervades other times is manifested, then the manifester at other times has no function at all. It depends on manifesting what is not obvious. If it is not so, then other manifesters are also needed at that time, because that also needs others, because it is difficult to exist without end, so it will not become obvious. It is also unreasonable to say that it is the object before later knowledge. Because the previous effort cannot definitely know what the nature of the newly produced is. Because it is that nature itself, that object is also an unreasonable object, because the previous effort does not approach it in any way, because the later itself will manifest all natures. If it is said that it manifests the nature related to its own time, then, isn't it using others to distinguish others? If the prior and later knowledge are one, then it will not distinguish the difference of effort. Because it is clearly different, the object of knowledge will also become different. Or, it is the object when there is no obscuration.

Although there is change, it is not apparent because of obscuration. Like a vase separated by a wall, although it exists, it cannot be seen. It needs to be revealed by other things, and then it can be seen. Thus, it is established by direct perception, and it is determined by valid cognition. For sound, effort is also a kind of obscuration, which can prove the non-existence of sound. If there is obscuration, even if it exists, it will not be apparent; if there is no obscuration, even if it does not exist, it will be apparent. What hinders appearance is because there are things that follow and contradict, so it is obscured. What is obscured does not disappear itself or produce other changes, because direct perception can directly observe its own nature. If someone says that it is a statement without prior and subsequent investigation, for example: even without change, it can be understood through recognition. If there is no appearance, how can it be understood through direct perception? Because the contradiction of appearance, can prove that its own nature does not exist. If someone says that it is revealed by other things, but no valid cognition is seen here, if it is determined by recognition, then recognition becomes inference, not preceded by direct perception, but becomes like blind people touching an elephant. Any inference, if it becomes like that, cannot be established. Because it is separated by obscuration and cannot appear, so at that time, direct perception cannot observe no change. If it appears later without obscuration, although it itself has not disappeared or changed, the existence in the middle is hidden, so it is understood through recognition. Even so, it will still become inference, because when there is no change now, it can be inferred that it existed before, which meets the definition of inference. If there is no direct perception, then how can inference be preceded by direct perception? All things that exist before and after are the definition of recognition. If inference is preceded by inference, then inference is also produced from inference itself, so in the end there will be nothing, like blind people touching an elephant. If someone says that it is understood through direct perception, so it is preceded by direct perception.
