It is the experience of self-nature, it is the experience of mind-nature. How is it an external object? This is also not other, therefore how does this become an external object? Or that is self-nature, because you also admit that all this is only self-nature. That is also experience. That is also not other, but only self-nature, because there is no difference from that. If it is said that it is speech, then it is not, because it is manifest and known separately. Because that is manifest and known, it is only self-nature and not other. If it is said that it is too much to become self-nature, then it is not, because it experiences various aspects. Because it is born from the power of ignorance, that is only experience. Saying it is self-nature is not nearly needed, because greed and so on are extremely peaceful, and those who follow are selfless, so there is no mistake. This is what is shown from below: Therefore, there is no other thing to be experienced. There is also no other experience in that. In that, the argument is the same. That is the light of self-nature. What is experienced by the mind is not other, as there is nothing to be experienced, as has been said. If that experiencer turns into the consciousness of experience, then it is not. That also has no characteristics of grasper and grasped. Other experience is because it abides in its own nature. How does it become the experience of another? It has abandoned manifestation and so on. If you follow that and enter into experience, then they also turn into one, and if so, then only the light of self-nature, and there is nothing other than that, thus abiding. If so, how do yogis and others know the minds of others? This will be explained below. Therefore, because self-nature makes self-nature bright, it changes like this. If so, then it becomes known as experiencing self-nature, how is it said to be experiencing blue and so on? It is said here: That thing, that is, the nature of blue and so on, is also experiencing that. Although it becomes the experience of self-nature, it appears as the experience of blue and so on. Because it is the nature of blue, blue

It is an experience of blue, not another experience of blue, because there is no unique experience. Whatever is different from anything becomes an object of expression by its own nature. If uniqueness is like that, then it must necessarily become like that. If the reverse can also appear in its own nature, then it will not be like that. Just as it is said "experiencing blue," it can be inferred that this experience is the nature of blue. Merely saying different does not mean it is really different, because different expressions may also originate from some form of habitual power, which has been explained before. So, how can the self-nature of blue be manifested? Just as lamps and the like illuminate vases and the like, they do not illuminate themselves. It is also contradictory for oneself to act on oneself, just as the edge of a sword cannot cut itself. The answer to this is: Just as because of its own nature, when the illuminator fully illuminates, it wants to illuminate its own nature, therefore, the master of wisdom is conscious. From which valid cognition ( प्रमाण,pramāṇa,means of valid cognition) is it certain that acting on oneself is contradictory? Merely using examples does not achieve the desired meaning, because from the opposite perspective, there is also the example of a lamp. If the vase is to be illuminated by a lamp that has become an external self-nature, then the lamp should also be illuminated by something else, this refutation and examination are not valid. The vase is not illuminated by the lamp either, but it arises in that way from it. If the lamp is also illuminated by other things such as the eyes, that is not correct, because the eyes and the like are common to all things such as vases. Just as even though there are eyes, illuminating the vase depends on the lamp, the lamp will also become like that. Or rather, the vase arises in that way, and it is the eyes and the like that illuminate it. If that is the case, then how does the lamp illuminate external things? Whether it illuminates or not, just as the illuminator is an object of expression, it should also be admitted that the eyes and the like are the same. For example, even though it arises in that way from it, it is expressed as the lamp and the like illuminating the vase, similarly, it also arises in that way from the eyes and the like.
