Indeed. Here, other than that, there is nothing established by valid cognition. Moreover, from the clarity of similar cognition, is there a different body? Or is it different? It should be known that in the different, one should discriminate well. Due to difference, the nature of otherness is not established by reason. Other than that, in reason, there is nothing to be measured. If similar cognition is connected with different aspects, since it is not established as such, how is the universal established from it? Or is it merely cognition? If so, then the universal is not established. Merely by cognition, the difference of meaning is not established. Whichever aspect is cognized, it is established by that itself; otherwise, it would be excessive. If the universal is different and non-different, it is contradictory. Thus, other than different is non-different, how does that become different? A different appearance is different; how does it become non-different again? If it is said to be different by aspects, then that becomes the universal, and that does not become non-different, because it is extremely different. If another says it is non-different, then at that time, that is different and non-different; because of that, if it is non-different, then that also becomes an empty aspect, and having extracted from that, one does not perceive its exhaustion. If different is non-different, seeing should be not seeing. Are seeing and not seeing one? This is a very rare thing. Thus, the existence and non-existence of things are established by seeing and not seeing; if they become one, then the dead should also become the nature of the undeceased. Therefore, one should observe the nature of the universal and the permanent. Therefore, by the distinction of exclusion, the dharma and the subject of dharma are different. If there is no that, then in that, it is only one part of the meaning of the promise. If one examines well in the ultimate truth, then in such a way, because it is not established, in conventional things, it prevents that and otherness. The universal existing in convention is different from clarity, because it is perceived from following and excluding, etc. That is also the nature of color, etc. There is no cognition, because what is seen by the two is also not cognized as another aspect different from the two clear aspects. In that, only two clear aspects appear. Similar aspect.

If it is said that appearance exists because of "Māpā," that is not true. The statement that "appearance is established by inference" is an extreme exaggeration. Are appearances such as walls established by inference? If one forgets a previously arisen memory, one might use inference or make other efforts to recall it at that time, but not during the very moment of appearance. The appearance of walls and so on is not that walls and so on appear, nor that walls and so on are established by inference. In the world, there is no understanding that because the form of a wall appears, therefore there is a wall or the appearance of a wall. However, because others see emptiness of inherent existence as their own nature, therefore it is said to exist or appear. The general characteristic of luminosity and emptiness is appearance. The general characteristic is not appearance. The general characteristic does not represent having other colors and shapes. If it is said that what is outside of color and shape is the nature of the general characteristic, then the general characteristic would not exist, because there is nothing outside of color and shape. If it is said that pervasiveness is its own nature, then whatever is not the same as color and shape is dissimilar. Pervasiveness is also not endowed with color and shape. If it is said that color and shape are pervasiveness, then if it were pervasiveness, it would be recognized as pervasiveness. If it is said that it is recognized at another time, that is not correct, because there is no difference between luminosity being present or absent, because even something that was previously not luminous is recognized in the same way. It has not disappeared from before, because it is directed there. If asked how it disappears, if it has not disappeared, then how did it or something else not previously direct towards it? Because pervasiveness does not exist. Its nature is only direction, only apart from the pervasiveness of the object, because it is a kalpa. If asked what is a kalpa? This is the nature of non-appearance. How can appearance become the nature of non-appearance? What is seen in another object is the past, but things are not like that. If it is said that apart from the nature of appearance, things do not exist, this is
