Because here, the knower itself is not established, so it is not established. If because there is no following, it also becomes that the knower itself is not established? No, if they are different, one will think of following. If it is not like that, because there is no difference itself, it will have faults just because of that, what is the use of thinking about following? Therefore, the subject is not its own proof. If you say, are lamps and so on not established as their own proofs? It is true that they are established, but because they are not hidden, they are not proofs, so this is the establishment of dissimilarity. When a lamp is seen, there is no dispute about its own nature. Here, even if sound is seen, there is a dispute about impermanence itself. If there is no dispute, then it will become manifestly established like sound itself. In all things, there is no difference between the dharma and the subject of the dharma, if you say that everything has the same fault, no, because there is a difference in the conventional truth. If you say, isn't the made and the sound itself also manifestly established like a lamp? If the difference of dharma is permanent, are the things to be established and the things to be proven different? That is also the same for the lamp, for the lamp there is also a different understanding that it is the nature of the lamp? No, because they are different in the conventional truth. The nature of the lamp, here too, how is the difference measured, it is impossible to become the established and the prover like that. The name of the lamp is in the place of having action and not having action, and the so-called nature is only in the nature itself. Among them, nature comes from doing things, because nature does things. Fire is the subject of dharma. Not having action is not the arrival of one's own essence. Because the thing that one wants to say has no action, so it is no action, it is unreasonable to say that, because it will become the fault of Ha Jiang. Saying that, no meaning will be established. If it is recognizing the difference, that is also established through the general and other objects. Therefore, the nature of the subject of dharma is not the prover, because there is no difference. Made and impermanent etc.

Sounds are differentiated by reversal. For example, the self-nature of things is one. When self is manifest, what is to be examined by the pramanas? What other unseen part is there? The self-nature of things is unique, and since it has been manifested by direct perception, what else is there to examine? If it is said that only the dharma is established by direct perception, but not the qualities such as impermanence, then it is not so, because it is one with impermanence. What is called impermanence is not something other than that. If impermanence is other, how is sound grasped as a dharma? How is the pervasiveness and exhaustion of other times known? It is unreasonable to do two things. If it pervades other times, then it will be completely grasped as permanent, and even if there are thousands of other measures, impermanence cannot be grasped from it. How is it realized from other pramanas by direct perception? The excluding direct perception is the root of all others. Contending for and producing food with the same properties is only for the sons of the king, not for the realization of becoming a pramana. If the chief of all pramanas is direct perception, then what is this? Could it be that the great Nāgabodhi was eaten by the dakinis? Or does direct perception realize permanence? Direct perception does not realize permanence or impermanence, because it only determines the self-nature of all things. If permanence or impermanence depends on later pramanas, then has impermanence not become self-nature? How can it become ungrasped? Because permanence is widely pervasive in time, while impermanence is the opposite. If things are grasped extensively, then they will be grasped extensively. If it is not grasped, then it will be recognized as impermanent. When things themselves are not recognized as pervading other times, the dharma of impermanence will appear. If it is said that what is realized is not impermanence, then what is called impermanence? Is the other dharma that becomes a distinction of itself present at the time of itself, or is it later? If it is said that it exists at the time of itself, then why is it not realized by direct perception?
